Call of Duty: Warzone players are struggling to unlock the new Trail Blazer Operator Skin in the Return to Verdansk event, with some believing that the drop rate could be broken. Verdansk finally made its triumphant return to Call of Duty: Warzone this week with the launch of Season 3, alongside a brand-new launch event that gives players the opportunity to unlock plenty of in-game rewards.
Warzone‘s Return to Verdansk event launched with the game’s big Season 3 update on April 3 and will be available in-game until April 15. Players can participate in the event for free with twenty different rewards up for grabs, including six instant unlocks for both new and veteran players. The event acts as a celebration of Verdansk, requiring players to drop back into the map’s most iconic locations and open twelve hidden safes for new rewards. The rewards in question vary from loading screens and calling cards all the way up to new finishing moves and the Kali Sticks melee weapon from 2019’s Modern Warfare. There is also a special challenge featuring an exclusive operator skin, but fans aren’t having the easiest time unlocking the reward.

Warzone Players Are Struggling to Unlock New Event Skin
Alongside the many other Return to Verdansk rewards, Raven Software has thrown in a special operator skin for players to find. Unfortunately, the Trail Blazer Operator Skin is given to players at random when opening hidden safes, which means it’s impossible to know how long it may take to unlock. Many players claim that they have opened hundreds of safes around Verdansk but have still not been granted the skin. In fact, it’s proving to be so difficult to obtain that players believe the Trailer Blazer Operator Skin is going to become the rarest in the entire game. Users such as Alex believe the skin is “bugged” and that the drop rate needs to be altered, but Raven Software has yet to address the potential issue.
While the event requires players to search throughout Verdansk to unlock all of the new rewards, there are some in-game items that can be obtained for free. To celebrate the map’s return, Raven Software has brought back some iconic Modern Warfare weapons, including the Kilo 141 Assault Rifle. Other weapons, such as the HDR Sniper Rifle and CR-56 AMAX, must be obtained via the Season 3 Battle Pass, but the Kilo 141 can simply be unlocked by logging into Call of Duty: Warzone. The weapon can then be used in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
Players can also unlock a brand-new weapon blueprint in Call of Duty: Warzone thanks to the returning Twitch Drops. From now until April 30, fans who watch participating Twitch streamers can get their hands on a double XP token, a double weapon XP token, and the Green Machine weapon blueprint for the XMG Light Machine Gun. To unlock all three rewards, viewers must watch for at least 6 hours.
