This thought wormed its way into his brain at a convenient time, causing him to stand still as his heart was stabbed by the puppets. As poetic as this moment, it was a disappointing end to their battle that stole a legitimate victory from Sakura’s grasp.

Despite being made of flesh and blood, the exhaustion of this prolonged battle didn’t stop Team Guy from losing against their clones. Instead, all they did was become stronger than before the clones were made somehow, leading to one of the most underwhelming victories in Naruto.
