Here is how you can get the Ray Gun Mark 2-W on Shattered Veil in Black Ops 6.

Like previous maps, Shattered Veil comes with its own hidden Easter eggs and secrets, along with exclusive wonder weapons to obtain. Among them is the Ray Gun Mark 2, which now has an upgrade that alters its shooting method. This guide will walk you through how to unlock the Ray Gun Mark 2-R upgrade and all the details you need to know.

Obtain The Ray Gun Mark 2 And An Empty Canister

Much like the other two upgrades of the Ray Gun Mark 2, you will need to get your hands on the weapon itself and then an empty canister.

There are three canisters that you can obtain on Shattered Veil, and any one of them will work with any upgrade.

One Empty Canister can be obtained by shooting the blue crystals around the map using the Ray Gun Mark 2.
Another Empty Canister can be obtained by completing the pipe puzzle on the underground level, where you need to use the Combat Axe on the valves.
The final Empty Canister is obtained by using the LT53 Kazimir grenade at the entrance below the Double Tap machine.

How To Get The Plant Seed

As usual, there are additional items that you need to get in order to fill the canister with the proper essence. This time around, you need to get your hands on four Plant Seeds.

These plant seeds can be obtained from the small red round plants that you’ve seen in the Tomb before. However, shooting them randomly will not drop the seed.

Instead, you need to use the Ray Gun Mark 2 NOT UPGRADED, a weapon with the Napalm Burst ammo mod, or a Semtex or Molotov.

You will know you’re doing it right when you hear a sound cue, like screams, coming out of the plants.

These plants can be found in various locations, but only in the outdoor POIs of the map, not inside the mansion. Some of these locations are:

Near the Quick Revive machine.
Inside the conservatory.
Just below the Double Tap machine in the right corner.
Near the Elemental Pop machine.
Near the spawn area.

There are more locations, of course, but these are the ones we got in our match, and it is random in every match.

How To Get The Toxic Canister

After you manage to collect four seeds, make your way to the conservatory, which is the area around the Quick Revive machine. Inside, you will be able to find a canister machine. Place the empty canister there to start the process.

What you need to do is plant one of these seeds in the yellow plant incubator separately and protect them from the zombies until they grow.

You need to do one at a time, not all at once.

The plant incubators’ locations are:

Two of the plant incubators can be found on the ground level.
Two plant incubators are on the top of the staircase around the canister machine.

If you somehow fail one of them, don’t worry, as you can always take the seed and plant it back.

After all the seeds have grown, go back to the canister machine, and you will be able to pick up the Toxic Canister.

With this at hand, head back to the spawn area, and you will find a workbench to the left side. Place the canister there, and the workbench will be functioning, allowing you to upgrade the Ray Gun Mark 2 to its R variant, the marksman rifle version.
