How To Get The Cursed Nuke
The Cursed Nuke can only be obtained one way — by fishing it out of the waters in the Second Sea. You won’t find it in any shops, quest rewards, or crates. It’s a pure RNG drop that behaves just like a fish.
The drop rate is incredibly low — only 1 in 50,000, or 0.002 percent, and, unfortunately, there’s no way to boost your chances. Luck-based enchantments, bait, weather, time of day — none of it matters.
So, all you need to do is be patient and devote a lot of time to it. The good news is that it can be caught anywhere in the Second Sea, from any island, with any rod. As long as you’re fishing in the Second Sea waters, you’re eligible for the drop.
But catching the Cursed Nuke is only half the battle. Once it’s hooked, you’ll be thrown into a mini-game where your job is to keep a gray arrow inside the moving zone.
Sounds simple, but the bar constantly shifts around, making it easy to mess up. If you lose control and let the arrow fall out, the Cursed Nuke will automatically detonate, triggering a 30-minute event with Nuclear-mutated fish across the area.
How To Use The Cursed Nuke
Once the Cursed Nuke is in your inventory, you can use it whenever you want — just make sure you’re prepared because activating it will cause significant changes to the surrounding fishing area. To activate the Cursed Nuke, you should do the following:
- Open your inventory and find the Cursed Nuke among other items.
- Click on the item to pick it up and start the mini-game. It’s the same balancing mini-game as the one you play when catching this consumable.
- Let the mini-game fail by allowing the gray arrow to fall into the red zone.
That’s it. As soon as the arrow hits red, the Cursed Nuke launches and detonates, starting a 30-minute event where all fish in the explosion radius will have the Nuclear mutation. These mutated fish sell for significantly more, giving you a perfect window to grind currency and fill up your inventory with high-value catches.
