Firefighting is an Active Career in inZOI, meaning that players can directly control their ZOI at work and see what they get up to at their place of work. It’s also the career with the most promotion stages in the game right now, so players looking for an Active Career that will keep them busy for a while should consider Firefighting. To progress in this job, you’ll need to complete assigned tasks while at work, and also take care of your ZOI’s needs while they’re working.
Careers in inZOI can be broken down into two categories: Active Careers and Rabbit Hole Careers. Firefighting is an Active Career, as we discussed above, while Rabbit Hole Careers instead have your ZOI disappear inside a building you can’t view the interior of and only allow you limited interaction. Depending on how hands-on you want to be with a ZOI’s career, different careers might work better for your playstyle. (It’s worth noting that careers can also be broken down into Part-Time and Full-Time, based on their general pay range and the amount of hours your ZOI will spend working.)

InZOI: How to Make Custom Clothes
Here’s how you can make custom clothes for your Zoi and always have a fresh look in InZOI.
Most objectives will have either a time or amount, like “Do Administrative Tasks for 45mins” or “Work Out in the Weight Room 5 Times,” so you’ll need to manage your ZOI to ensure they complete all of their tasks, while still taking care of their needs. Speaking of your ZOI’s needs, the Fire Station has a decent array of objects to help with the majority of your needs, so let’s take a look at some important ones.
Need |
Available Interactions |
Hunger |
The station’s Vending Machine offers snacks, while the Fridge can be used for basic company meals like pizza slices. |
Cleanliness |
You can clean up by hitting the showers in the station locker room. |
Sleep |
While there aren’t any beds in the station, you can grab a cheeky nap using the plush benches in the halls, so make sure to use them if your ZOI is particularly exhausted. |
Bathroom |
The station bathroom has toilets, so there’s no problem here. |
Fun |
There are a few ways to have fun on the job, such as by playing games on the laptops in the meeting room, using the TV or bookshelf in the break room, or bringing along something to do in your ZOI’s inventory (like a portable game console, for example). |
Social |
One perk of the job is that there are plenty of people around, so you can take some time to get to know your coworkers and fill the social meter along the way. |
Recognition |
Much like above, spending some time with your coworkers can fulfill this need easily. |
Vigor |
Vigor is filled up by getting proper rest and spending time doing things your ZOI enjoys, so if they enjoy weightlifting, you might be able to fill this a little in the station’s weight room. |
By taking care of your ZOI’s needs and clearing each task they receive throughout the work day, they’ll be able to rise through the ranks quickly. The Firefighter Career has the most progression steps of any career in the game at the time of writing, though this will likely change as development continues, so it’ll take a little while to reach the top.
The Firefighter Career progresses as follows: Trainee Firefighter > Lieutenant > Captain > Battalion Chief > Assistant Chief. You’ll need to continue performing tasks on time and generally performing effectively and efficiently at work to keep earning promotions in this career, and you’ll be informed when you make progress via a message on the ZOI’s smartphone.
