One of the AMAX’s few weaknesses is its relatively low fire rate of 632 rounds per minute. The Rapid Fire attachment can raise it to a more respectable 690 RPM, but that attachment comes with four major penalties to compensate for the increased fire rate.
As such, the remaining attachments aim to rein in the debuff Rapid Fire applies. The Muzzle Brake and Vertical Foregrip do much of the heavy lifting, making the CR-56 AMAX more controllable.
The Reinforced Barrel also ensures we’re at a net 16 percent bonus to Bullet Velocity, and a healthy 28-meter start to our effective range dropoff.

We’ve designed this loadout to be as aggressive as possible. The CR-56 AMAX build gives it amazing handling and usability, and our perk setup attempts to make up for any other shortcomings.
- Scavenger keeps your ammo reserves topped off and refills your Equipment with every pack picked up.
- Hunter’s Instinct alerts you to the nearest enemy after getting a kill so you can either engage or change course if it would be too dangerous to chase.
- Double Time increases your Tac-Sprint time, helping you reach the next fight as fast as possible.
- Dexterity, which you activate with your Wildcard Perk Greed, helps get the CR-56 AMAX up and ready faster after sliding, jumping, or sprinting.
The Equipment we’ve chosen is as aggressive as possible. You never need to cook a Semtex, the Stim Shot gives a free full heal with almost no downtime, and the Assault Pack quickly refills ammo and Equipment if Scavenger packs were hard to come by.
Most importantly to this section, the Enforcer Specialty provides a full heal after getting a kill, plus a momentary boost of speed. Coupled with Double Time, there’s almost nowhere in Black Ops 6 that’s safe.

We aren’t changing much about our CR-56 AMAX with the Gunfighter Wildcard, instead using the three additional attachments to enhance the weapon’s performance.
The CR-56 AMAX doesn’t have too many ammo troubles, but with Rapid Fire, it can burn through its reserves more quickly. Extended Magazine I puts 15 more rounds in the magazine, and 45 more in those reserves, keeping you stocked longer.
The CQB Grip cuts down on weapon ready time after performing most actions, which frees up our perk selection a bit.
Lastly, the Light Stock is a mostly blanket movement speed bonus, which is hard to beat in any setup.

Thanks to the extra attachments on the AMAX, you don’t need the likes of Double Time or Dexterity, as those effects are mostly taken care of. Instead, we’ve opted for a bit more safety with the Strategist set of perks.
- Flak Jacket offers extra protection from explosive damage, which is rife in Black Ops 6.
- Shadow makes enemy traps and mines completely ineffective, ensuring an errant claymore or gas mine has a lower chance of affecting you.
- Quartermaster puts your Equipment on cooldown rather than being completely gone once used.
The Strategist Specialty grants additional Score on objective capture, awards Score with Equipment destruction, and highlights both Equipment and Field Upgrades through walls.
Frags are a more versatile Lethal Equipment, as you can cook them to explode above an objective or use their longer throw distance to blow up an enemy on the other end of a smaller map. Stims remain one of the best Tacticals, and the Trophy System can get you a bit more Score and protect objectives from nades at the same time.
