Who Is Jin-Ah’s Love Interest?

Who Is Jin-Ah's Love Interest?

Summary

  • Sung Jin-Ah is a reliable sister to Jin-Woo, despite being an ordinary civilian.
  • Jin-Ah’s love interest is Yoo Jin-Ho, who has a close relationship with her brother Jin-Woo.
  • Jin-Woo supports Jin-Ah’s relationship with Jin-Ho, envisioning their future together post-marriage.

Sung Jin-Woo’s sister, Jin-Ah, rarely makes an appearance in Solo Leveling, likely because she’s just an ordinary civilian who never gets a chance to hunt magical beasts. Although she’s not an awakener, she remains a reliable sister whom her brother can depend on the most. As the plot unfolds in Solo Leveling, who will be Jin-Ah’s love interest, and what will be Jin-Woo’s reaction when he learns about it?

Solo Leveling explores a lot of character relationships, including Jin-Woo and Jin-Ah’s dynamic. At a glance, they seem like ordinary siblings, but from the perspective of the Korean citizens, they could either be an ally or a threat. As soon as Jin-Woo emerges as the tenth S-rank hunter of the country, Jin-Ah’s life has never been the same. With all the things going on, is there a chance for Jin-Ah to find love, especially in a cruel and dangerous world like Earth?

Sung Jin-Ah is the type of girl who knows a lot about responsibilities at such a young age, unlike other students. She is independent and reliable, which makes her a good sister to her brother. Her situation might be unfortunate, with her mother sick with the Eternal Slumber and her father missing for over a decade, but she always finds joy in the smallest things, like eating chicken tenders with her brother. Most importantly, she never lets her family situation affect her studies.

“Didn’t I tell you to stop getting injured? Do you know how worried I was?”—Sung Jin-Ah to Sung Jin-Woo

When it comes to Jin-Ah’s personal life, not much is known about it. In the anime and manhwa, Jin-Ah can only be seen studying at school or spending time with her brother. Fans only get a look at her life outside home and school when she goes jogging with her brother and when she visits him in the hospital after the double dungeon incident. Even so, Jin-Ah seems friendly and sociable enough to become friends with Han Song-Yi, the awakener who dropped out of school to become a hunter.

What Jin-Woo Thinks About Jin-Ah

In Jin-Woo’s eyes, Jin-Ah is one of the most important people in his life. At the beginning of Solo Leveling, she is the only relative he can count on, as her mother and father are in a tough spot. Together, they remain strong against the challenges that come their way, standing side by side to save their family. Regardless, Jin-Woo treats Jin-Ah like an ordinary sibling he can banter with and annoy from time to time.

“I can’t believe I almost left her behind.”—Sung Jin-Woo to Sung Jin-Ah

Funny enough, Jin-Woo often suspects Jin-Ah’s high marks at school. He always gives side comments about her studies, joking that it’s unusual for her to become the top student in her class with her level of intelligence. Jin-Ah, on the contrary, likes to tease her brother about dating and finding a girlfriend, even though she knows he doesn’t have the luxury of going out on dates in their situation.

This section contains spoilers from the side stories of the Solo Leveling manhwa and novel.

Who Is Jin-Ah’s Love Interest?

Her Love Interest Is Surprisingly Close to Her Brother

Sung Jin-Ah’s love interest in Solo Leveling is none other than Yoo Jin-Ho, the same D-rank hunter who became the Vice Master of Sung Jin-Woo’s Ahjin Guild. Going back, Jin-Ho is the son of a rich construction mogul, who initially recruits Jin-Woo to clear 19 gates with him. And for some reason, Jin-Ah ends up becoming Jin-Ho’s girlfriend, though the Solo Leveling manhwa and novel never explore their relationship until the side stories are released.

Their relationship is a huge surprise to think that Jin-Ah and Jin-Ho rarely, if ever, had any interaction in the series. Fans don’t even know if they knew each other, since they never crossed paths, or perhaps the series simply let the fans assume they did behind the scenes, considering Jin-Ho’s close relationship with Jin-Woo. Perhaps, in one way or another, the two had a conversation, hit it off, and the rest is history.

They Married Each Other

According to the side stories, Jin-Ho bravely tells Jin-Woo that he will propose to Jin-Ah once and for all. He asks for his advice about the ring he chose, as well as the presents he could give Jin-Ah to impress her. However, Jin-Woo tells Jin-Ho that he doesn’t need to give presents just to prove his love for her. After all, Jin-Woo could picture his sister jumping back and forth at home should Jin-Ho propose to her.

“Hyung-nim! I’m going to propose to Jin-Ah.”—Yoo Jin-Ho to Sung Jin-Woo

Jin-Woo approves of Jin-Ah and Jin-Ho’s relationship. He supports the two of them, giving advice as much as he can even though he’s not the type of guy who will be good at it. He believes Jin-Ho is a good man for his sister, since he never had any bad blood with him. Besides, he thinks Jin-Ah is in good hands since Jin-Ho already plans to build a hospital with her after she finishes her medical degree. Eventually, Jin-Ho and Jin-Ah tie the knot and have a child, though there are little to no details about their relationship after marriage.

For the most part of Solo Leveling, Jin-Ah’s love life is never explored, making it a shock that she somehow ends up with Jin-Ho. Their relationship feels forced and rushed, seemingly giving these characters a happy ending.
