Where To Find The Winter Raiders In AC Shadows

The Winter Raiders is one of the most interesting side quests in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Aside from the Shinbakufu, an organization that you have to hunt as part of the main story, there are 15 more corrupt agencies that you can assassinate.

The Winter Raiders is one of them. You can start this quest by talking to Rin at Gobo in the Kii region. After talking to her, you will be tasked with defeating five raiders. Here, we will guide you thoroughly on how to find and eliminate each one of them without any problems.

How To Start The Winter Raiders Quest

This quest is in the southwest part of the map, in the Kii region. Once you are there, talk to Rin and then follow her. She will take you to the elder, so talk to him, and The Winter Raiders will start.

If you start this quest during any other season, then all the Raiders can be found in the Sandanbeki cave.

Once the mission starts, the first objective you should do is find the home of Yasha’s contact. It can be found northwest of Kumano Sazan in a shrine town by the river. You can locate the house by holding the left trigger. Once you are there, read the letter, and you will develop a connection.

Sobei

The first target on your list can be found pretty near to where you initiated the mission. He is directly west of the Gobo marker on the map. Sobei will be talking to his men, so either you can perform a double assassination from above or use your kunai to take out the others without being spotted.

You can also use your allies like Oni-yuri. She can put any enemy to sleep and poison them. This ability is really helpful, so use it for your main target. This way, even if you fail to perform an assassination on him, you will be able to do so.

So, when he is on the ground, perform an assassination on him and then use your skills to finish him off. After defeating him, you will get Sharpened Hail, an Epic Katana, a quest item, and 360 Mon.

Yasha

The next target on your list is the Raider Yasha, who can be in Kawakami by the river during winter in the Yamato region. There are many guards in the vicinity, so fighting Yasha head-on can prove to be difficult. If you want to do that, then Yasuke is the one you should choose to play.

Yasha’s Prospect and the other guards in the area can be pretty troublesome, so it is better that you solely focus on Yasha and then escape.

However, if you want to stealthily defeat the main target without much trouble, then play as Naoe. You can either stealthily go behind the target and assassinate him or use Oni-yuri’s skill to make him vulnerable. Once you have defeated him, you will get Boreal Wind, an Epic Naginata, a quest item, and 300 Mon.

Hayate

Hayate can be found east of the Kii region at Iseji Trails in the winter season. There will be some annoying opponents around him, too, so it is better to take care of them first. Assassinate the ones near you and use your kunai and other throwables to take out the rest.

After that, stealthily assassinate Hayate from the back and then instantly use your skills to finish him off.

Do not dilly-dally too much here, as Hayate is super annoying. He will continuously throw smoke bombs and instantly appear in front of you while performing an unparryable kick.

Try to finish him off as soon as you can; do not give him enough room to even breathe. After defeating him, you will get Kagutuschi’s Deed an Epic teppo, a quest item, and 305 Mon.

Akumu

The next target on your list is Akumu. She can be found in Kii on the central Nakahechi Route only during the winter season. She won’t be alone as there will be a few other enemies beside her. Use your Kunai to kill them for a 1v1 with Akumu.

Now, if you can use Oni-yuri’s ability to knock her out, use that. However, if you can’t, then you can simply use a smoke bomb and go into hiding. Once the enemy’s aggro is no longer on you, go behind her and perform an assassination. After defeating her, you will get A Thousand Cuts, a Legenadry Bow, a quest item, and 255 Mon.

Jinbei

Your last target is the leader. Locating him is pretty difficult as he is inside a cave with only one entrance. The entrance to the Sandanbeki cave can be found directly north of the leader’s location.

The cave will be filled with enemies, so be as stealthy as possible. Take out all the enemies you can while making your way to the main target.

The cave is pretty linear, so you won’t have much trouble finding the leader. Once you do, make sure to assassinate the enemies around him first. Then, go into hiding and wait for the aggrro to wear off. When the boss starts looking for you, go behind him and perform an assassination.

Upon defeating him, you will get Pupil’s Promise, an Epic Kanabo, and 210 Mon. After that, go back to the elder, and the quest will end with you receiving just 200 Mon.
