Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is home to plenty of alien races, many of them drawn to Mira. This doesn’t apply to the Nopon however, who are one of the few native people of the planet. They are situated across every part of the planet, from the vast plains of Oblivia to the flaming plateaus of Cauldros.

Turns out not all of Xenoblade Chronicles X’s Prone are bad guys. Here’s how to save them.
And it is in the snowy sands of Sylvalum that you meet Dopang caravan, and its proprietor, Kuta. They claim that their cargo has been stolen and want you to find it. Except he didn’t see the thievery occur, so you’ll have to ask around if you want an idea of where to go.
How To Start Castle In The Sky
Castle in the Sky is a Normal Mission, located deep in Sylvalum long before the story will ever bring you there. It is available as soon as you have completed Chapter Four, though you’ll have to go quite out of your way to encounter it.
It is located in the Cleansing Spring of Sylvalum to the east, though Kuta will only appear at night. Make sure to change the time to make him appear.
After a brief chat, he will claim that his cargo was stolen, though he doesn’t know by who or what. So he asks you to speak with the fellow members of the caravan in case they saw anything that happened.
Finding The Thief
Speaking With Dopang Caravan
Your first task is to speak with the members of Dopang Caravan. They also only appear at night, so speak with them immediately after chatting with Kuta.
Speak with them both to get some rather inconclusive evidence. They saw a massive shape, perhaps flying, and that it flew off, approximately, towards the area of Lake Ciel. A quick glance at the map will show you that Lake Ciel is rather massive. the area gets marked, though you’ll have to search to find this thief, which you don’t even know what looks like.
Speaking With Bobora
Unless, of course, you find Bobora. Completely unmentioned by the quest or anyone in the caravan, Bobora is found atop Xanadu Outlook, a scenic point that has a grand view over large swathes of Sylvalum.
To reach Sylvalum, you must ascend the thin path along the mountain by FN Site 413. Once you reach the top, you will see a rather large enemy resting at the very top who is level 60. He will become alerted as soon as you approach him, so you must use an Art like Shadowrunner in order to avoid them.
Speak with Bobora once you get near, who gives you an astoundingly accurate account of what happened. It was a Jacul Ire that stole the cargo, and it flew to the south end of Lake Ciel. So head on over and reclaim that cargo.
Defeating The Jacul Ire
Head on over and defeat the Jacul Ire, which is at a more reasonable level 32 compared to some of the other enemies in Sylvalum. It’s just like an Auravis and is a fairly standard battle. They drop Kuta’s cargo upon defeat.
Return now to Kuta, at night as before, to get his thanks, and a lovely reward in the form of 11,000 Credits, 190 EXP, and the Ensnared holofigure.
