Dondozo And Tatsugiri
Bouncing From One Card To The Next
This Pokemon duo deserve the same spot since they work best together. Tatsugiri works best on the Bench, while Dondozo will ideally be in the Active Spot. Dondozo does what Articuno ex can do by hitting for 80 damage and splashing the bench with ten.
Tatsugiri’s Retreat Directive allows Dondozo to Retreat for free. You also don’t need to Retreat Dondozo into any specific Pokemon. So it can retreat into another copy of itself or entirely into a different Pokemon with this combo setup.

Cyclizar
A Bulkier Farfetch’d
At first glance, Cyclizar seems like a worse version of Farfetch’d. It needs to hit once with Overacceleration before it starts doing a solid 40 damage each turn. However, to compensate for this slow start, it gets some extra HP to start with.

Meowscarada
Striking Back Against Pokemon Ex
Stage two Pokemon get more appealing when they have low costs and decent effects in the long run. Meowscarada has both of these, as the entire line only needs two Energy to start striking. Once you reach this stage, Fighting Claws can do up to 130 damage in one hit to your opponent’s Pokemon ex.
This is the kind of power you want when you’re trying to hit powerful ex-decks with your single-point strategies. It also keeps its retreat cost at a manageable level with only one Energy to switch out to your next Pokemon.

Magmortar
Making Your Opponent’s Turn Worse
Magmortar’s Smoke Bomb can be pretty disruptive if you can get it out early enough. As a stage one Pokemon, it doesn’t consume much space in your deck and hits for a solid 70 damage.

Coin flip Moves will reward you for landing on heads. However, they can also be used to disrupt your opponent. Smoke Bomb is able to stack a coin flip to your opponent’s next move, forcing them to flip if they want to be able to use it. This also stacks with Special Conditions such as Sleep, Confusion, or Paralysis.

Pachirisu
A High-Speed Charger
Cards that help you get more Energy are great, especially when they can do so multiple times. Pachirisu gives the Lightning-type a chance at an extra Energy each turn each time it successfully uses Plasma. This also helps chip away at your opponent’s Pokemon by ten damage.
Of course, you’ll need to invest at least one Energy to get this going, but it can help you set up your strongest Pokemon on the Bench. With 70 HP, Pachirisu can evade being knocked out by Pokemon that can strike for 60.

Alakazam
A Hard Hit On The Bench
Alakazam loves playing around with Energy. While its Genetic Apex counterpart dishes out more damage the more Energy a Pokemon has, this one likes to spread it around. Psychic Suppression only costs two Energy to use and hits for 80 damage to your opponent’s Active Pokemon.

Meanwhile, it hits every Pokemon on the Bench that has Energy on it for 20. This can add up quickly if your opponent doesn’t do something about it. This Alakazam won’t give you a one-hit knockout, but it can significantly weaken Pokemon before they even hit the Active Spot.

Paldean Tauros
A Flexible Fire-Type Basic
As far as Fire-types go, Paldean Tauros is a pretty flexible card. It’s a Basic Pokemon that doesn’t discard Fire Energy when attacking. It can do a solid 80 damage with Blaze Tackle, with the only downside being that you take 10 damage in recoil.
The most interesting trait of this card is its cost. While it needs three Energy to attack, only one of those Energies needs to be Fire. This makes it a good candidate for a dual-type deck since the rest of its requirements can be filled through other Energy-types.

Grafaiai
Poison From The Bench, Not The Active Spot
Utilizing Poison can be difficult at times. Moves either don’t do enough damage to waste one setting up the Special Condition or require multiple Pokemon Retreating back and forth for a combo to work. Grafaiai eases the burden by being able to Poison from the Bench.

Gholdengo
Steel-Type’s Celebi
Every Steel-type Pokemon in Shining Revelry has some pretty killer effects. Gholdengo is the perfect fit if you need a single-point card to pair with your Dialgia ex. This is because it gets stronger the more Steel Energy it has attached to it.
Like Celebi ex, Gholdengo can dish out 50 damage for each coin flip you manage to land on heads. Of course, you can start doing this at three Energy instead of two. Regardless, that damage racks up and, if your opponent isn’t careful, can lead to their untimely end.

Wigglytuff
Generic Healing From The Bench
Wigglytuff is no Pokemon ex, but it has a decent ability that can act as support for your other hard hitters. This Pokemon has 100 HP and can deal 50 damage for two Energy using Gentle Slap.
While not the strongest in terms of attack, its Comforting Song Ability lets it heal 20 damage from your Active Pokemon each turn. This healing can be done to any Pokemon and is not tied down to any type restriction. This nets you the equivalent of one free Potion every turn.
