Xenoblade Chroncles X’s Mira is a dangerous planet, and even getting some water can lead to your death.

And they are just as merchant-minded as before, though some have a leaning towards fashion, too. That’s what A Tip of the Cap focuses on. Here’s your chance to have a hand in the future of Nopon fashion trends that will stretch across the whole planet of Mira.

How To Start A Tip Of The Cap

The required materials to make nopon hats in xenoblade chronicles x definitive edition.

Starting A Tip of the Cap is easy, with only two major requirements before you can begin. The first is that you must have completed Chapter Four, and the second is to have completed The Ties That Bind Affinity Mission. This tasks Tatsu with finding Dodonga Caravan and being reunited with his family.

It is in Dodonga Caravan that A Tip of the Cap takes place. After finishing The Ties That Bind, just talk with Nosusu to get started. Her business has hit hard times, and she needs your help to revitalise it, and hats are just what she had in mind.

Which Hat Should You Choose?

To begin with, you need to collect some preliminary materials for the crafting to begin. These include six Noctilucent Dragonflies, a single piece of Harnenga Cotton, and two Lava Mangoes. These are all found in Noctilum and will be marked on your map if you haven’t found them yet.

Return to Dodonga Caravan and give these materials to Nosusu, at which point they will state they need one more material, though from two options. They are:

  • Two Vibrant Plumes to create a Santa Hat.
  • Two Fluffy Tufts to create a Beanie.

Make whichever choice you personally prefer from a fashion perspective. The reward will be the same no matter what, of 9,000 Credits, 170 EXP, and Soft Cat Ears. However, Nopon around the world will now start wearing whichever hat you helped create. So the next time you see a Nopon in your hat of choice, now it is a direct consequence of your choice. Truly, you are a fashion icon.
