- Fans are excited to get access to this feature for free, as The Sims 4 charged $39.99 for the Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack.
InZOI will likely be adding pets in the near future, giving the life simulator a lot more realism for those with furry friends. The development team behind InZOI is teasing a big free update coming soon, and while there’s no official confirmation that pets are on the way, there are some pretty obvious clues that the developers are working on that feature.
Launched in Early Access on March 28, the life simulator has already attracted a big fan following, with InZOI surpassing massive player milestones within the first day of its release. About a week after its Early Access launch, player counts are cooling down a bit, but they’re still not lagging too far behind The Sims 4, the current king of the genre.

Best City To Pick In InZoi
The cities in InZOI don’t just have aesthetic differences, they also offer different jobs and activities.
The Sims 4 has the advantage of a full decade of updates and paid DLC under its belt, while the release of the completed version of InZOI is still a long way off. This includes multiple expansions that added pets to The Sims 4, including cats, dogs, horses, cows, a wide variety of small caged animals, and even some trendier pets like mini goats. While no pets are available for free in The Sims 4, a new post from InZOI‘s social media team appears to be teasing the upcoming arrival of cats in the game via a free update, showing a short animation of a cat tree with paw prints appearing below it. Unlike the free-to-play base game provided by its main competition, InZOI‘s current Early Access model does come with a $40 price tag, but the developers don’t plan to charge anything extra for the large amount of additional content planned for release in the coming months.
Cats May Be Coming to InZOI in a Free Update
Faithful followers of InZOI news may have already seen this announcement coming. The initial InZOI road map revealed in March detailed some of the game’s upcoming free expansion content, including one planned for August called Kucingku Cat Island. The name of that update uses the Malay and Indonesian word meaning “My Cat” for its new city, which is likely to provide players with the ability to adopt or, at the very least, interact with cats in the game. There has also been plenty of marketing since before the Early Access launch featuring imagery of fluffy white and orange cats. It’s unclear whether dogs or other animals will be added in the update, but many players predict that they will be added at some point.
The teaser seems to have excited a lot of fans, who want to know more about the update teased by the mysterious cat tree. Still, some others are continuing to complain about the aging of their InZOI characters despite a newly released hotfix that decelerates the aging process.
