While they have been causing some problems among the locals, their motives are unknown. Upon talking to Gokenin, you can start this quest, but you may already be aware of some of the members as they appear during the main quest. Here, we will guide you on how to find and defeat each target.

How To Start Kurai Eikyou Quest

This quest automatically starts once you complete the A Chance Encounter mission during The Wise’s questline. He is one of the Shinbakufu members that you have to defeat during Act 2. You may have already faced a couple of the members of the organizations already, but as you don’t have to defeat them, they are easily missable too.

Once the mission is visible on your map, head to the coordinates and talk to Gokenin in the Yamato region. After talking to him, you will be tasked to hunt five people.

How To Find And Defeat All Members Of Kurai Eikyou

The Katsuragi Agent

The first target on your list, Katsuragi Agent, can be found in Katsuragi in the western Yamato area. He will be inside the Gonkenin Manor and is a little difficult to take down due to all the surrounding guards.

Playing as Naoe here is the best choice as she can stealthily reach the target.

Make your way inside the manor, and your target will be on the left behind the door. You can assassinate him without opening the door with your katana, so do that. However, given that the Katsuragi Agent has a lot of health, he may not go down with just one attempt.

After taking a chunk of his health by assassinating him, instantly use the rest of your skills to finish him off. When done, you will get Boulder Fall, a Legendary Kanabo, a quest item, and 295 Mon.

The Tsutsui Agent

Your next target can be found in the same region. He is in the Retainers’ Quarters, north of the Koriyama Castle. Again, choosing Naoe here is the best bet.

This place is also filled with a lot of samurai, so being stealthy is the play here.

Highlight the target and make your way there. Luckily, there are a lot of bushes around, so even if you alert the enemies, you can hide there. Assassinate the samurai guarding the door and go inside to perform an assassination on your main target.

You will be able to take out at least half of his health. He is using a Teppo, so being in a closed space will work in your favor. Use your skills to take him down instantly. After defeating him, you will get Dragon’s Wrath and 225 Mon.

Now exit, go ahead, and enter the room on your left. There will be a letter; read it to update your objective.

The Messenger

The third target on your list is The Messenger, who can be found at the Kofukuji Temple in the Yamoto region. He is on the northwest side of the temple, and you may have faced him before defeating The Wise.

At night, he will be meditating, making him an easier target. Approach him from the back and perform an assassination. You must take out a chunk of his health this way, as he is a Naginata user, and they are pretty annoying in this game.

He will just get even more annoying, so there is no need to delay the fight.

Use any of your skills and defeat him as soon as possible. After you have defeated him, you will get Shade of Blight, a Legendary Naginata, a quest item, and 310 Mon.

The Blacksmith Agent

In order to find the next target, you will have to eavesdrop on some blacksmiths. They can be found west of Uda Matsuyama Castle in the Yamato region. After eavesdropping, you will discover that the Blacksmith Agent is in Miyataki by the river north of Yoshino in the Yamato region.

From the top, perform an assassination on him, and as Miyataki is a hostile place, be stealthy. After defeating him, you will get Encouragement, a Legendary Amulet, a quest item, and 330 Mon.

The Akiyama Agent

The last target can be found during the Off My Enemy quest. He is in the Damimyo Residence in Uta Matsuyama Castle. You can find him in the building on the left. He will be sitting inside, so perform an assassination and finish him with your skills.

After defeating him, you will get Repeating Fate, a Legendary Teppo, and a quest item. After finishing all targets, talk to Fuyu and then retrieve the gift. It will be a Legendary Long Katana, Whisper of Muramasa, just ahead of the shrine to the north.
