Dandadan was THE anime of 2024. Before it began airing, no one would have predicted that it would go on to become one of the most popular anime in the world. Almost immediately after the first season’s finale had aired, it was confirmed that Dandadan would return for a second season.
At the time, the announcement only confirmed that Dandadan next season would premiere sometime in July 2025. Thankfully, on April 3, 2025, the anime provided fans with an update. According to the report, Dandadan Season 2 will be released on July 3, 2025.

Dandadan Season 2 Release Date Has Been Confirmed
To increase the hype further, Dandadan will release the first three episodes of the second season, starting in May. Fans can find the schedule below:
- Asia: May 30
- North America: June 6
- Europe: June 7
The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Dandadan also shared a new key visual for season 2 featuring Momo Ayase, Turbo Granny, and Okarun. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Mutsumi Tamura will join the voice cast for the second season.
Dandadan’s second season will be a step up from the first one. Not only will it raise the curtain on several mysteries, but there will also be a lot more action than in the initial season. Dandadan Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger where Momo, Okarun, and Jiji went to investigate a mystery in the latter’s hometown. Momo Ayase was attacked by shady individuals, while Okarun and Jiji came across something dark and sinewy.

Dandadan Season 2 will not make any changes to the main cast, so all the original voice actors will reprise their respective roles.

Dandadan Season 2 will be directed by Abel Góngora and Fūga Yamashiro at Science Saru. The other staff members will likely return in their respective roles.
Dandadan’s anime adaptation has proven to be beneficial to the manga. After the anime finished airing, more and more fans decided to read the manga. Yoshinobu Tatsu will be hoping that the second season has the same level of impact and helps the manga to reach a wider audience.
