To celebrate the highly anticipated comeback of Verdansk, Call of Duty: Warzone’s original battle royale map, players can participate in the Return to Verdansk event to earn free rewards, including classic content from the game’s original version.
This event is open to new players experiencing Verdansk for the first time, as well as veteran players familiar with its iconic points of interest. With that in mind, here’s a breakdown of all the Return to Verdansk event rewards in Warzone and how to unlock them.

How Does the Return of Verdansk Event in Warzone Work?
The Return to Verdansk event allows Call of Duty: Warzone players to explore the map, find Hidden Safes, and unlock rewards by opening them. To do so, players will need to visit one of the 12 zones that the map is divided into in the event menu and find safes. When opened, they will contain a variety of ground loot, an event-specific reward, or the special Operator skin reward – any of which can be selected individually and randomly.
The Return to Verdansk event can be completed in Battle Royale, Battle Royale Casual, and/or Plunder modes.
Here is a list of the 12 zones you can visit to find the Return to Verdansk Hidden Safes:
- Dam – Gora Dam, Gora Tunnel, Gora Village, Gora Ridge, Roadside Hamlet
- Military Base – Arklov Peak Military Base, Crash Site, Lozoff Pass, Riverside, Grazna Bridge
- Quarry – Karst River Quarry, Gorengard Lumber Yard, Quarry Offices, Lozoff Pass Village, WHP Camp, Karst Bridge, Rail Tunnel
- Storage Town – Storage Town, Airport (Verdansk International Airport Terminal), Airport (Control Tower Complex)
- Superstore – Atlas Superstore, Airport Maintenance (Hangars)
- Stadium – Verdansk Stadium, BCH TV Station, TV Station Central Plaza, Great Bridge
- Train Station – Verdansk Train Station, Junkyard, Zhokov Boneyard, Graveyard, Torsk Bloc, Kart Racing Track, Barakett Promenade (West)
- Hospital – Verdansk Hospital, Barakett Promenade (East)
- Downtown – Downtown Tavorsk District, West Bridge, Gora Bridge, Tavorsk Bridge
- Hills – Novi Grazna Hills, Tavorsk Park, Styor Memorial, Coast
- Port – City of Verdansk Port, Krovnik Farmland
- Prison – Zordaya Prison Complex
Each zone will contain multiple Safes scattered throughout. However, you can open as many Hidden Safes as you find during a match. Each Safe can only be unlocked once, and when it is, an explosive indicator will alert nearby enemies.
Unlocking all Return to Verdansk event rewards in Warzone grants players the melee weapon from Modern Warfare 2019, the Kali Sticks, as a Mastery Reward for free.

All Return to Verdansk Event Rewards in Warzone
The Return to Verdansk event in Warzone features 12 free rewards, each tied to a specific zone. Players can unlock them by completing event objectives. Opening Safes in any of the 12 zones grants a chance to randomly receive one of the available rewards. Here’s a full list of the rewards players can earn during the Return to Verdansk event:
- Let’s Plan Something! – Loading Screen
- Jarvdinsk Spomenik – Emblem
- Lumberjack Legends – Calling Card
- Deathly Chill Return – Weapon Decal
- With Fries, Please – Weapon Charm
- Breaking News – Calling Card
- The Back Adjustment – Finishing Move
- Love 4 Tha Game – Spray
- Cheering the Squad – Emote
- Double XP Token (45 minutes)
- Shipping to Verdansk – Sticker
- Wheel of Glory – Calling Card
- Trail Blazer – Caine Operator Skin (Special Challenge)
Additionally, both newcomers and veteran Warzone players will receive free rewards automatically. All players will unlock Modern Warfare 2019’s Domino and Mil-Sim USEF Operators, along with the iconic Kilo 141 Assault Rifle. Meanwhile, veteran players will also receive exclusive Warzone-themed rewards, including a Parachute, Gun Screen, and Contrails. To obtain Caine’s Trail Blazer Operator Skin, players must open safes and rely on luck for the skin to appear.
The Return to Verdansk event kicks off on April 3, 2025, and runs until April 15 at 10 AM PT. After the event ends, the Kali Sticks are set to be added to the Armory feature, allowing players who haven’t unlocked them to do so.
