At the same time, whatever Oda has revealed so far already has massive implications, which some so bizarre that fans might actually have a hard time believing them. But, that doesn’t make them any less true. One of the biggest things that Oda has implied in the Elbaf arc is the fact that Luffy is one of the many who are actually aliens to the planet of One Piece, the Blue Star.
The Harley Texts And The Secret Of The Moon People
- Harley Reveals The Big Secrets Of The One Piece World
- The World Of One Piece Was Destroyed Twice
It is safe to say that no fan of One Piece was expecting that Oda would go on to reveal the truth about the two destructions of the world in One Piece’s Elbaf arc. This whole idea was absolutely jaw-dropping for the fans right from when Jarul first introduced it.
The book is divided into three parts, each from a different era, with the latest one foretelling the events of the future. — Saul
However, Oda kept going deeper with the Harley, and eventually, even revealed the entire poem to the fans. This scripture was read by Nico Robin, while Franky was the one who witnessed a drawing of it in front of him. This is what the Harley texts state:
First World
Flames engulfed the land, and humans succumbed to their desires, touching the forbidden Sun. The enslaved prayed, and the Sun God appeared. The Earth God was enraged, and together with the serpent of infernal flames, shrouded the world in death and darkness. They would never meet again.
Second World
Breath stirred within the void, and the Forest God sent forth demons. The Sun did nothing but spread the fires of war. The people of the half-moon dreamed, the people of the full-moon dreamed. Humans slew the Sun and became Gods, and the Sea God raged. They Would never meet again.
Third World
In chaos, there is void. The troubled shadow remembers the promised day, and hears the voice of the fractured moon. The Sun God dances and laughs, leading the world to its end. The sun will return once more, and a new dawn will arrive. Surely, this time, they will meet again.

One Piece: How The True Awakening Of The Mera Mera no Mi Makes It The Strongest Devil Fruit
The Mera Mera no mi might be the most powerful devil fruit in One Piece. Its awakening hides its true power.
As is clear from the narration that Robin did, the Harley texts state how the world was destroyed in the past two times, and how the Third World, which is where Luffy is the Sun God, is the one that will bring about an absolutely massive change. When it comes to the secret of Luffy’s true lineage, fans need to look at the Second World. In the First World, Oda hardly mentions any special race or people of the world, and fans know that all this likely came into play much later, in the Second World.
Why Luffy Is From The Moon In One Piece
Luffy’s Ancestors Likely Came From The Moon
When looking at the Second World of One Piece, fans have a lot to go over. Perhaps, this is the most dense part of the Harley itself. Fans find out that this is where the Devil Fruits were first created by the Forest God, and they then spread all over the land. At the same time, this is where the Sun was destroyed by humans and they claimed absolute power, becoming Gods themselves. But, there’s much more to the Second World than just that.
Our world has been destroyed twice in the past already! — Jarul
In the Second World, Oda also revealed the people of the Halfmoon and the people of the full moon. This a very interesting, for more reasons than one. When it comes to the people of the full moon, it likely refers to those who came from the moon long ago. This shouldn’t be surprising to any One Piece fan.
The three Winged races, possibly even those of Lunaria, came from the moon. These races are Skypeians, Shandians, Birkans, and possibly Lunarians. If they’re the people of the Fullmoon, then what does that make the people of the half-moon?
The idea is clear. Those who are a mix of Fullmoon and Blue Star blood would be the people of the half-moon. In other words, if a Fullmoon person had a child with someone from the Blue Star, which most definitely happened, then the child would be one of the halfmoon. Coincidentally, the halfmoon itself also resembles the D, so perhaps, all those who originally bore the D come from the moon, which also includes the protagonist of the series, Monkey D. Luffy. The most likely ancestors in this case would be the Shandians, since they’re the ones who settled on the Blue Sea.
In other words, Luffy is an alien, and what makes this even more damning is the fact that Luffy’s Sun God Nika power is likely connected to the moon too, given its all-white form, which is very similar to Sulong, which, as fans might’ve guessed, is powered by the moon. Shocking as it may be, Luffy is actually an alien and a moon descendant, which is also one of the many reasons why he is the perfect fit for being the Sun God.
