Trigger is the new playable character in the Obol Squad faction from Zenless Zone Zero. She is a Lightning Stun character, specializing in stunning enemies through off-field Aftershocks. Proxies can accumulate Purge or enter Coordinated Support, so Trigger can launch multiple Aftershock attacks when other characters in the team hit enemies.
Trigger is considered a universal stunner, as she can slot into most teams with Attacker in the current version of ZZZ. This also includes the team with Soldier 11, her current ally in Obol Squad, and Soldier 0 – Anby. Zenless Zone Zero: Trigger Materials (Promotion, Skill & Core Skill Enhancement)
Here are the materials required to promote Trigger and enhance her skills in Zenless Zone Zero.
Soldier 0 – Anby + Trigger + Astra Yao
Similar to Astra Yao in terms of resonance with teammates, Trigger slot into almost every Attacker in Zenless Zone Zero. However, Trigger complements the 5-star Anby the most, as Soldier 0 – Anby requires a lot of on-field time to stack the Silver Star mark. Because of that, she prefers a stunner that spends the majority of their time off-field, like Trigger and Pulchra.
Make sure to place Trigger after the DPS slot, as her Finishing Moves will trigger the Quick Assist of the previous character in the squad.
Astra Yao is another character who fancies being off-field and giving the spotlight to the DPS, as long as her Idyllic Cadenza state is active. Not only does she provide huge buffs for the whole team, but Astra will also heal the team with her Ultimate, making the attackers on the team less worried if they can’t dodge enemies’ attacks on time.

- Astra Yao: Support, Buffer, Healer, Quick Assist
Proxies can swap Soldier 0 – Anby for any Attacker or Anomaly Agents, like Miyabi, Evelyn, Soldier 11, Yanagi, or Zhu Yuan. Similarly, Astra Yao can be swapped with suitable Defender or Support Agents like Nicole, Lucy, or Caesar.
Miyabi + Trigger + Yanagi
Miyabi has been a top powerhouse ever since she was released, and Trigger creates a new team for her that is as strong as when Astra Yao was in the team. Miyabi and Yanagi can trigger each other’s Additional Ability, while Yanagi and Trigger can do the same for each other.
As mentioned before, Astra Yao is perfect for this team, but with the existence of Trigger, you can slot her into Miyabi’s team and let Astra assist other characters—after all, she is highly sought after for almost every team in Zenless Zone Zero.

- Yanagi: Main DPS, Disorder Buffer, Disorder Trigger
If you’re looking for another suitable duo of Anomaly Agents that is on par with this team, that would be Miyabi + Burnice, and Yanagi + Burnice. Although Miyabi and Burnice will not activate Trigger’s Additional Ability, the sole Frost DPS compensates for it with her overwhelming damage.
Evelyn + Trigger + Lighter
A double stunner team is also possible, as Trigger does not take time to be on the field, so she can give way to the second stunner and DPS in the team, which in this case is Evelyn. Preferably, the second stunner should also not consume too much field time, so the DPS can deal damage to enemies when needed. Some of the prime examples are Lighter, Pulchra, and Qingyi in ZZZ.
