Traitor Revealed Guide – First Berserker

In the Traitor Revealed mission for The First Berserker: Khazan, players will be delving into the city of Palemion in hopes of enacting Khazan’s first act of vengeance against an old friend. However, things don’t go the way anyone expects.

In this guide, we’ll be covering all the important bits of this main mission for First Berserker, including the locations of important items, Soulstones, and more.

Traitor Revealed Walkthrough

Once you load into the mission, you’ll start in what seems to be a cemetery of sorts. Follow the path forward, and you’ll be greeted by an elevator leading upward. From there, you’ll find your first Blade Nexus and Elamein, who should have more info regarding the city’s situation.

Up ahead to the left of Elamein is a path leading to a bridge, guarded by a dog and a bandit. The path to the right has nothing important in it, so it can be safely ignored. Get rid of the dog and bandit, and cross the bridge, which will collapse once you reach the midway point.

After falling, you’ll enter a large area with some more dogs and bandits. Defeat the enemies, but instead of pressing on, turn around and go along the path that curves up toward the burning rooftop pictured above. There, you’ll get the Fire Disruption Parchment, which unlocks the recipe for Fire Cleanse Potions.

You can run through the flames without taking damage, but don’t stand in them for too long.

Continue toward the main path and kick the wagon blocking the way. You’ll enter a long corridor with some more bandits blocking the way, including archers who will fire at you from a distance.

Bait the melee fighters back to where you came from, then take them out one by one, then go to the area where the archers are, but before you go up the wooden platform, turn left to find a path leading to a cave containing Earth Spirit’s Fuel. On the archers’ platform is a trapped chest containing a ring and Treated Gems. Check the houses along the way too for some more minor loot.

Further down the main path is a set of stairs leading up a house. There are a couple of bandits there — take them out, and open the door to find a chest in the house that contains even more loot. Head back outside and follow the path downhill to find more enemies and the second Blade Nexus.

The Burning City

From the second Blade Nexus, follow the path to the right, and you’ll reach the entrance to a tower, which will get busted open by a bandit. Defeat all enemies in the area and climb up the tower. There’s a chest on the roof containing some weapons and armor, and from the door just below the roof, you’ll see an item on a suspended platform. Use your Javelin to shoot the platform down and claim the Ghost Relic for Adelheide the Philanthropic.

Traitor Revealed Soulstone #1

Exit the tower, then turn right to find a ladder that leads to a rooftop. After climbing the ladder, immediately turn around to find the first Soulstone. Use your Javelin to break it.

Then, continue along the rooftop path to reach the area as pictured above, then drop down from the roof and face a gaggle of enemies before proceeding. If you head left, you’ll encounter an Elite enemy along with some archers. Beat them all and open the chest in one of the ruined houses to get some extra weapons and armor.

Go back to where you dropped from and head up the ladder inside another tower-like building. Head outside to find a branching path — if you go down the ladder to the right, you’ll some dogs and a bandit that can randomly drop equipment. You’ll also get some consumables and materials for item crafting here.

If you go to the left, you’ll find a pair of archers and a melee bandit blocking the way to the Palemion Citadel.

Traitor Revealed Soulstone #2

After dealing with the trio of bandits, follow the path until you reach the main road leading to Palemion Citadel’s gigantic gates. Nearby is another tower, as pictured above. Enter it, then follow the wooden walkways all the way to the top to find the second Soulstone. Break it, then head outside to find a draw bridge — break the chain holding the bridge up, then continue toward the castle.

Palemion Citadel

From the third Blade Nexus, turn left and go through the open hallway to find a guarded set of stairs leading to the second floor. Deal with the enemies, and keep following the linear path until you reach an Elite enemy. Defeat it, then open the chest it was guarding to get the Palemion Citadel Key. You can use it to open a number of locked gates in the castle, including the one near the Elite enemy.

Return to the Blade Nexus, then head left again, but this time, go down the hall with the locked gate. Open it with the citadel key, then continue down the linear path. Once you reach the room with the stairs that lead down, pay attention to the wall pictured above. Attack it, and it will break, revealing a hidden room containing the Bard’s Scroll and a Jarling.

Traitor Revealed Soulstone #3

Go down the stairs and enter the dungeon. There’s a breakable wall here in place of a jail cell door that you can bust through. Inside it is the third Soulstone of the mission.

Now, continue through the dungeon, and open the doors leading back to the main chamber and the one that leads further down. Open the smaller door and follow the tunnels until you reach the sewers.

Palemion Underground

Climb down the ladder and be prepared to deal with an invisible undead assassin. Pay attention to the monster’s footprints, and once it spots you, get ready to dodge. Once it’s dead for real, go down the corridor to find yet another branching path.

To the right is an undead ambush and a coffin with the Earth Summon Scroll, which will let you craft Earth Enhancers. To the left is a straightforward path with easy undead enemies and a shortcut that leaves back to the Blade Nexus upstairs.

Continue down the tunnels and you’ll eventually meet Andell, an ex-bandit who’ll tell you more about why the Knivesveill are in Palemion. If you’re done talking to him, turn right, and carefully drop onto the platform below.

Platforming Section

For this section, we strongly recommend saving Spirit for Javelin. Instead of going down the ladder, move to the ledge in front of you to spot an archer on the ledge below. Take him out and drop onto his platform, but be careful of the other bandit.

Next, drop down the ledge near the first archer’s spot, then get ready to block an incoming arrow from below. Use your Javelin to get rid of the shooter downstairs, then drop down onto the ledge below. Defeat the two bandits, then drop down onto the wooden beam below. Hug the wall and make your way to the wooden platforms beyond. Drop down the last few platforms to reach the bottom.

Traitor Revealed Soulstone #4

After reaching the bottom of the chasm, follow the path forward while beating all enemies along your way. Climb the ladder pictured above, then beat more bandits on the next floor. After taking the enemies out, make your way to the other side of the wooden platform, then turn around. The final Soulstone of the level should be on a wooden beam.

Rangkus Boss Fight

It’s a straightforward elevator trip and jog from the Soulstone to the Underground Escape Route, where Rangkus, the boss of the level, resides. We have a detailed guide on how to beat Rangkus, but if you’d rather figure things out for yourself, here are a few simple tips:

• Learn to parry his slow melee attacks.
• Use Fire Cleansers and wear items with Fire Resistance.
• When he starts spinning and spewing flames everywhere, sprint around him.
