Teamfight Tactics continues to impress with just how diverse and unique it keeps making new sets. With the launch of Cyber City, which is TFT Set 14, you can now be transported to a neon-soaked metropolis where rival factions regularly clash for control and power. Alongside loads of new traits and units, a brand new mechanic called Hack arrives which will disrupt the action in unexpected (and hopefully beneficial) ways.
After a couple of weeks of being put through its paces on the PBE, Teamfight Tactics Cyber City is finally ready to drop. On aesthetics alone, this is one of the coolest TFT sets yet, with champions like Jinx, Twisted Fate, and Zeri all featuring and getting a futuristic makeover. Its lineup of five-costs is also pretty epic, including a Garen that can reprogram the traits of your units and a computer virus-plagued Zac. Even from a gameplay perspective this feels like it could be one of the best ever for the autobattler.
A major reason why is the new Hack mechanic, which adds an element of randomness to every match you play. On a few occasions throughout a match, a core system of the game will get Hacked, offering up some surprising extra choices and strategies that you perhaps didn’t think you had in your board. Everything from opening encounters, to shops, to augments can be affected by a Hack. It might just occur once in your match, or it may happen a few times, it really is that random and that unpredictable.
Elsewhere in Cyber City, there’s a huge new slate of champion cosmetics, including a brand new Chibi variant. Chibi Forecast Janna, which turns the wind-wielding champ into a weather girl, is now available to purchase.

There’s also a completely new type of cosmetic hitting TFT with Set 14: portals. Yes, you can now get different styles of portals – you know, just in case you bored of the default one… As well as some more standard designs that you can purchase for one Mythical Medallion, there are more elaborate, themed portals that will set you back three Medallions. In Set 14, these include a PROJECT-inspired portal, and one that resembles a tornado, which marries up with the Chibi Janna.
TFT Set 14, Cyber City, is live right now and is a free update for all players.
