The One Piece anime is returning after a six-month absence. It went on a hiatus because Toei Animation wanted to maintain a certain standard, which wouldn’t have been possible if the studio had decided to keep airing episodes weekly.
To make up for the absence, Toei Animation released a remastered version of the Fish-Man Island arc. This variant had better pacing, new filters, and animation. While it kept fans busy, they were always looking forward to the anime’s return. Thankfully, the wait is almost over.

What Will Happen In One Piece Episode 1123
Before the anime went on break, the story was focused on Hachinosu, the territory of Blackbeard, which was under siege by the Marines. They traveled to the island to rescue Koby, one of the most talented Marine officers. The raid was led by Monkey D. Garp, who was Koby’s mentor.
The attack started well, but things went south quickly when Kuzan and the other Titanic Captains got involved. When Garp got injured, it became clear that he could not keep all of them at bay by himself. Instead of letting the allies be captured, Garp decided to sacrifice his life to save the new generation. Towards the end, fans saw Kuzan freezing Garp.
One Piece Episode 1123 will bring the attention back to Egghead Island. Before the anime exploring the events happening around the world, it was revealed that York had betrayed Dr. Vegapunk and the Straw Hat Pirates. She was driven by her desire to become a Celestial Dragon and lead a life of luxury. One Piece Episode 1124 will be released on April 6, 2025, just one day after Episode 1123. This information was confirmed a while back, so there is no reason to doubt its veracity. One Piece Episode 1124 is titled “Fully Surrounded! The Escape Strategy.” It is likely that the Admiral and the massive fleet will finally lay anchor and begin their attack on Egghead Island.

In the recent trailer, Kizaru could be seen setting foot on the island and asking Luffy to surrender, indicating that he means business. The Admiral previously fought Luffy on Sabaody Archipelago, where he absolutely humiliated the pirate, but this time things will be different.
Not only has Luffy mastered the use of his devil fruit, but he has nearly perfected his Haki control. The young pirate can use all three types of Haki along with their advanced versions. For instance, Luffy can utilize Future Sight to foresee incoming attacks and plan a counter accordingly. However, the biggest weapon in his locker is Advanced Conqueror’s Haki. It is arguably the most destructive ability in the series, and all top-tier fighters have mastered it. While Luffy might not have the same level of finesse as someone like Shanks, he is in no way an amateur. The combination of his Devil Fruit and Haki is more than enough to beat someone like Kizaru.
Rob Lucci Will Have To Fight Another Straw Hat
Aside from Luffy’s battle with the Admiral, fans will be treated to an epic fight between Roronoa Zoro and Rob Lucci. While the two do not have a rivalry, it will still make for an exciting battle. The question on everyone’s mind will be whether Zoro can beat a fighter of Lucci’s caliber.
The latter is armed with a powerful Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows him to turn into a leopard at will. After the timeskip, Lucci awakened his Fevil Fruit, making him an even bigger threat. However, Zoro has grown stronger, and he also has access to Advanced Conqueror’s Haki. All in all, One Piece fans should steel themselves for a battle for the ages.
