Mortal Kombat 1 first came out in 2023, and it’s been getting steady updates since then to keep things exciting. The March Mortal Kombat 1 update brought T-1000 and Madam Bo to the lineup, plus a big set of balance changes for the fighters already in the game. It also gave PC players a new Ray Tracing Quality option and improved overall performance.

The supposed cancelation has fans justifiably upset, but a well-timed crossover could still provide some levity for the community.
The April 2025 update for Mortal Kombat 1 packs in technical fixes, gameplay polish, and roster adjustments. PC players now get updated Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR3, and Intel XeSS versions for better graphics. The patch cleans up several problems too, including sharper resolution detection, faster mouse response, fixed Krossplay match invites, and fewer visual errors in the Kustomize menu. Players can now buy Character Mastery with Dragon Krystals, the AI performs better, and move list translations are corrected. Mortal Kombat 1‘s Invasions mode also gets a fix for a rare issue where players could get stuck in strange spots.
Mortal Kombat April Update Brings Key Fighter Balancing
Several main Mortal Kombat 1 fighters see key changes. Havik’s Helping Hand and Nether Snatcher moves now deal 10 less damage each, while Quan Chi’s Enhanced Field of Bones starts causing damage over time when an opponent is inside the bone cage. Sindel’s total health drops by 50, and her Shear Genius attack’s second hit now lands high instead of mid. Kenshi’s Kameo recharge rate increases slightly, and his Teamwork ability executes 25 frames faster. Other fixes ensure Baraka’s Desperate Tarkatan effect lasts correctly in longer matches and adjust Kitana’s Fan-Nado second hit to prevent unexpected damage increases.
Mortal Kombat 1 Kameo fighters get important updates too. Kano’s Eye Laser hitbox now disappears when the visual effect ends, and Tremor’s AI shifts to using a wider range of moves instead of focusing too much on Transmute Up and Down. Mortal Kombat 1 Ferra no longer gets stuck in her Lackey Variation when Sindel’s Enhanced Queen’s Command interrupts, while Madam Bo’s Drink Service and Teahouse Tumble moves are fixed for proper collision and cooldown timing. T-1000’s Tibia Displacer move now has 23 fewer frames of hit stun, reducing how long it holds opponents.
