Monsters That Deal The Most Damage

Monsters That Deal The Most Damage

Monsters are the greatest threat to players in R.E.P.O., outside of a few trolling allies. Considering the intense danger that monsters represent in R.E.P.O., it’s of vital importance that players are aware of the damage that these entities deal so that they know whether it’s a good idea to run, hide, or fight the chosen monsters that seek the demise of each player.

REPO: 7 Scariest Monsters, Ranked

REPO contains some truly terrifying monsters that will make even the most hardened of robots tremble in fear, and here’s the scariest of them all.

There are some monsters in R.E.P.O. that deal an intense amount of damage, and players need to be well aware of how much damage these monsters deal so that they can come prepared to each encounter with a warning of just how brutal these beasts are, and how risky it is to engage with them.

Reaper

A Scissor Monster Made of Hay and Rage

the Reaper attacks
  • Slash Attack: 10 Health per hit (average of 40 per second)

The Reaper waddles across the halls in an attempt to keep its hay structure together, and as a result of its design, it’s fairly slow, completely deaf, and hard of sight. However, if players do end up crossing paths with her, then she’s going to scream and wave her scythe arms around with unrelenting rage and fury in an attempt to slash them with no reprise.

The Reaper will continue to flail its arms and slash at the player, and even go so far as to reach under tables that it’s seen players hide under. There is no respite for these attacks unless players have Stamina and can run out of her line of sight, so each attack from the Reaper is going to tick for 10 health, and with the speed of her attacks, that’s roughly 40 damage per second.

Mentalist

A Brainy Alien Who Slams Players into the Ground with Psychic Powers

the Mentalist

The Mentalist isn’t the most terrifying or hardest of monsters to fight, and it can be easily bullied with just 4 Strength Upgrades. However, the Mentalist does have a power that sees it obstruct players and their gameplay by using a field of mental energy to force a bubble of anti-gravity, where everything within this field will be picked up and slammed into the ground.

Being slammed into the ground deals 50 damage, and during this time, players are completely unable to move unless another player drags them away from the Mentalist. It’s an attack that leaves players vulnerable, and if they’re near the C.A.R.T., then say goodbye to the loot as that’s going up and down too.

Headman

The Floating Head That Has Quite the Aggressive Bite

the Headman charges

The Headman will float around with its oversized skull and sunken eyes in search of Semibots for it to nibble on. Once it finds a player, or a player looks directly at it with a flashlight, it will charge towards them with great speed, chomping away in an effort to bite them. The Headman deals 50 damage with each successful bite, and there’s no cooldown between said bites.

Purchasing these key items first in REPO is the key to success and survival when it comes to the hardest levels in the game.

Even under tables, the Headman can reach players and continue to bite them. With such a rapid succession of bites and a hard path to escape, the Headman is best avoided, especially in narrow hallways like Headman Manor, to avoid an attack method that can kill most players in 2-3 hits from full health.

Clown

A Happy Clown Who Loves to Kick and Fire Lasers

the Clown
  • Beam Attack: 30 Health (70 if it knocks you into an object/wall)
  • Kick Attack: 10 Health (50 if it knocks you into an object/wall)

The Clown is easily one of the most unsettling monsters in R.E.P.O., and players need to watch out for three variations of its attacks. The first two are dependent on if the player is standing or crouching, because if the Clown spots players who are standing, it will fire its laser beam in a circle in an attempt to hit players, but it can be avoided by crouching – whereas this is an inverse if players are crouching, as it will fire low and require players to jump.

While the initial attack damage from the laser beam is only 30 damage, this can deal more than 70 damage if the beam pushes players into walls, which is most likely going to happen with how hard this attack hits. The same is done for the Clown’s kick attack, which occurs if players get too close to the clown and its oversized boot.

3

Robe

A Shadowy Nun Figure Who Attacks On Sight

the robe is startled
  • Grab Attack: 100 Health
  • Crouched Attack: 50 Health

The Robe can be somewhat managed by simply avoiding its gaze, for those who look at its skull mask or dare to bump into it will make the Robe aggressive, even if it’s basically asking for trouble by constantly following the player around. However, if players do look at the Robe, then they have to deal with a rapid grab attack that deals an enormous 100 Health’s worth of damage.

That’s 100 damage every time a player looks at a Robe and fails to escape its sprinting grasp, and that’s not easy when one remembers that the Robe can reach under tables and remembers exactly where the player was hiding, even if this crouched attack is reduced to 50 damage instead of 100.

Huntsman

A Blind Hunter With a Great Quickdraw

the blind Huntsman

The Huntsman is totally blind, and with that comes an incredible sense of hearing. The Huntsman can detect audio from the player’s microphone, whether that’s the tap of a keyboard or the slightest giggle or gasp upon watching a friend get murdered. When the Huntsman hears a player, or any sound, it will shout and shoot where it heard the noise with extreme accuracy, and this shot deals 100 damage every time.

It’s incredibly hard to jump or dodge over the shot, so if the Huntsman has heard you, it’s best to hope that you have at least 101 Health or more, since this attack can be lethal to most players as it deals a harsh 100 damage and will continue to do so.

1

Trudge

A Hulking Monstrosity That Can Instantly Kill Players

the Trudge wanders
  • Mace Slam: Instant Kill
  • Vacuum Attack: 100 Health
  • Bite Attack: 50 Health

The Trudge is the fiercest monster in R.E.P.O., for its hulking size and monstrous form will see it roam across the map with immense slowness and stupidity. However, just because this monster is slow doesn’t mean it should be underestimated, for it can use its attacks to pull players into its grasp so that it can slam down on them, killing players who touch its mace instantly, no matter the health they have.

The Trudge has three attacks that all deal a great amount of damage. If players are hiding underneath tables and other objects, the Trudge’s skull will reach down to bite players for 50 health, and a vacuum attack will see the Trudge pull players in, which deals 50 damage twice. There’s a mace slam to finish things off, which is a guaranteed instant kill.
