Disney is putting all of its focus into promoting the live-action version of Snow White, which was recently released. Still, the company already has its sights on the next princess movie, which will be getting the live-action treatment: Tangled. It has already been confirmed that a remake of this 2010 animation is in the works, and there is plenty of potential when it comes to adapting his movie, given how entertaining it was.

Various names have already been rumored to be involved in the project, which is quickly picking up steam. However, nobody has been officially cast in the titular role at this point, although Disney seems to be moving forward with a massive pop star for Rapunzel.

According to industry insider MyTimeToShineHello, Sabrina Carpenter has now met with the studio about potentially playing the princess in the live-action adaptation. In what would be a huge casting decision that would be sure to break the internet, Disney is considering the pop star to take on the lead role in this live-action movie. It’s a popular film with many fans, so choosing who will be Rapunzel isn’t going to be an easy decision, but Carpenter would certainly prove to be a popular one.

Carpenter is best known as a singer, where she has taken the world by storm, but the Grammy-Award winner did kickstart her career in entertainment as an actress. She made a name for herself by starring in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World, which ran from 2014 to 2017. The 25-year-old songwriter has proven her ability to act and sing at the same time, and it is easy to see how she would fit the role of Rapunzel from an aesthetic perspective.
