How To Unlock R0-Z3 Operator in Black Ops 6 & Warzone

To unlock R0-Z3 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, players must purchase the Season 3 BlackCell Premium Battle Pass, where the iconic Operator is included as an instant reward. This $30 Battle Pass not only grants access to R0-Z3 as an exclusive Operator but also includes gold and black-themed rewards, 1,100 CoD Points, an XP Boost, Weapon Blueprints, and other cosmetics.

R0-Z3 is only available through this method, as there is no standard version of the Operator in the base Battle Pass. Since BlackCell is a premium offering, unlocking Roze requires a higher investment than some other operators. However, purchasing it also grants access to the regular Battle Pass, allowing players to earn all Season 3 rewards while progressing through the game.

Call of Duty Roze Operator Controversy Explained

During the first iteration of Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare (2019), Roze became one of the most widely used and controversial Operators, thanks to her Rook skin. This skin, unlocked at level 100 in the MW 2019 and Warzone Season 5 Battle Pass, was entirely black, making it extremely difficult to spot in low-light areas across Multiplayer and Battle Royale in Verdansk.

As players realized its advantage, the Rook skin became a phenomenon, with many exploiting its near-invisibility to camp more effectively or remain undetected in key situations. In response, developers nerfed the skin three times, including during the Verdansk ’84 and Warzone Pacific updates, significantly increasing its brightness to make Roze easier to see.

This sparked frustration among players who had purchased the skin, as it had undergone significant changes since its release. What was once considered “pay to win” became, in the eyes of many, nearly useless as its color shifted from black to gray. However, these adjustments were necessary to prevent unfair advantages, ultimately leading to the skin’s decline in popularity as players moved on to other, darker skins that took their place in the meta.
