As part of your gameplay experience in InZOI, you will need to manage the household dynamics of your Zoi and potentially other Zoi that live in the city you select. Sometimes, as your Zoi continue to live out their day-to-day lives and naturally progress their relationships with other individuals, you may want to change family dynamics or have different Zoi move in with one another.
Thankfully, while having two Zoi move in with one another can only occur naturally in-game after marriage, there is also a way to force any Zoi to move in anywhere. By splitting and merging households, you can also add new families to the city or completely rearrange families by deciding who lives where. InZOI: How to Split and Merge Households
In InZOI, splitting and/or merging households is a very useful feature that can come in handy for a number of reasons, such as mixing things up for a different feel or getting romantically involved Zoi to move in with one another without needing to commit to marriage. Luckily, merging or splitting households can be done at any point during your playthrough and is very easy to initiate and complete. To begin, simply open your City Map menu by pressing the M key shortcut.
From here, click Manage Zois, then head over to the Manage Family tab. Now, this will open a menu that presents you with a list of all Zoi families currently living in your local city. Here, you can scroll down and view families listed by their surname, and you will be able to edit them through splitting and merging by pressing the Move Zois Between Families button, right at the top of this list.
This will open a second menu in which you can select two families and then swap out individuals from either side to change who resides where. If you move Zoi around, this won’t change any aspect of their identity, and their name will not be edited to match their new family. However, this does enable you to completely customize the world that your Zoi lives in and change things up for your own entertainment or preferences.
You can also select the Create Temporary Family option to isolate or separate family members from the rest of their household. Lastly, via this Manage Family menu, you can also create a brand new additional family and have them move into one of the various empty lots or households that have enough room to host them.
