Batman Villain White Rabbit Joins Peacemaker Season Two

Batman Villain White Rabbit Joins Peacemaker Season Two

Summary

  • Peacemaker Season 2 is set to premiere in August 2025, with Brey Noelle joining the cast.
  • Noelle confirmed her role as the obscure DC character White Rabbit, adding a new dynamic to the show.
  • James Gunn’s Peacemaker features well-written characters, creating a welcoming environment for new additions.

Fans of the Peacemaker show won’t have to wait much longer for the show’s second season to finally hit streaming, and yet another new addition to the cast has been confirmed ahead of the August arrival.

Peacemaker was easily one of the best things to come out of the DCEU during the Snyderverse era. Created by James Gunn as a spin off show from his highly acclaimed reboot film The Suicide Squad, it would instantly become a fan favorite and viewers were remiss to see it disappear when Gunn eventually took over DC Studios alongside Peter Safran with a mandate to reboot the entire franchise. Thankfully, Gunn was able to figure out a place for Peacemaker in the new DCU timeline and the show’s second season has been brewing behind the scenes for a while now.

John Cena previewed the Peacemaker season 2 opening credits dance number, acknowledging that fans have high expectations after the first season.

Cena’s Peacemaker is easily one of the best live-action versions of a comic book character, and now the show is gearing up to bring another oft-obscure DC character to the fore in the second season. Thanks to a hasty IMDB profile update, fans have recently speculated that the second season of Peacemaker was adding model, musician, social media content creator, and actress Brey Noelle to the cast as the obscure Batman villain White Rabbit. The news has also since been confirmed by Noelle herself on Instagram stories as well as responding to posts highlighting the news across other social media platforms. Thanks to the IMDB profile that originally broke the news, fans also know that she’ll be featured in just one episode of the upcoming season, indicating a minor role. There have been three different iterations of the White Rabbit character, but only two of those have been women and only the latest iteration was actually a Batman villain. This means that Noelle will be taking on the Jaina Hudson version of the character, a metahuman with the ability to split her main psyche from her White Rabbit alter ego into two separate bodies. She doesn’t have any major powers beyond this, making the character perfect for Peacemaker’s more grounded action.

The show has been such a success in part thanks to the Peacemaker’s great cast of interesting characters, not least of all Cena’s titular protagonist. While this might seem like an intimidating entry point into a franchise that’s still largely blank, there’s a lot to be said for the show’s goodwill being a gift to the new character instead of a burden. Peacemaker has, despite having some very well written messaging at times, made fans comfortable with the idea of not taking the hero world all too seriously. Thanks to that built-in lease on the show, Noelle won’t have too much to fear and can focus on having a good time and doing her best with the material. While her prior experience doesn’t necessarily lend itself to the superhero genre, fans can trust that Gunn did his due diligence with the show that’s become a pet project of sorts for him.

It’s unclear whether or not Noelle will be playing both halves of the character, as they don’t necessarily have to look the same, so fans will have to wait for more details to emerge, or hang tight for the season to premiere. Either way, it’s always good to get new DC characters debut in live action, especially the less popular ones. While Gunn’s Superman film won’t be all jokes, it will set the stage for a much more lighthearted DCU than the franchise that originally spawned Peacemaker. With that lowered barrier for association, there’s every chance that the characters introduced in the upcoming second season of the show could take on a bigger role in the DCU at some point, White Rabbit included. That is, if the character manages to survive a meeting with Peacemaker.

Peacemaker is available to stream on Max, with season two currently set to premiere on the streamer in August 2025.
