Solo Leveling is one of the biggest series at the moment, which keeps on breaking records with how successful it has been. The series took off almost immediately after it began airing, in great part thanks to its fighting scenes.

Solo Leveling season 2 has just ended, with its last episode, episode 13, having finally aired last Saturday. Solo Leveling Season 2 ends on a rather calmer note, as the events of Jeju Island wrapped up. Despite that, fans already want Solo Leveling Season 3.

However, there might be an issue with this upcoming season. Indeed, Solo Leveling season 3 was already greenlit, before the second season even ended, but it faces a huge problem that might cause it to be delayed.

Season 1 and Season 2 had almost exactly one year in between, but the wait could be longer between Solo Leveling Season 2 and Solo Leveling Season 3. And this all comes down to a problem with the main director of the anime, Nakashige Shunsuke. He’s the man who directed both season 1 and season 2 of Solo Leveling and delivered the work flawlessly.

Nakashige Shunsuke is quite a busy man at the moment. Currently, he is busy directing another anime, so he is unable to put his efforts into Solo Leveling. This will cause the third season to be pushed back, most likely.

Getting a new director to work on Solo Leveling and get its third season produced is actually not impossible. There are many great anime directors out there, but for now, any words of the studio switching directors for Solo Leveling Season 3 would just be rumors, and fans will have to wait and see if any change is made.
