Pokemon GO Players Find Super Rare Spawn

Some Pokemon GO players are finding unusually rare spawns in their world maps. Pokemon GO is known for having astronomically rare spawns for legendary Pokemon such as Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, and more. Players will usually find one of the bird trio by using their daily adventure incense. Fans hoping to have a second chance to catch the legendary birds can search in places they’ve seen them before, as they have a higher chance to spawn in those areas.

Pokemon GO has been the world’s most popular AR game since its release in 2016. Its launch spiked interest in the franchise as a whole and introduced many people to a fresh take on the franchise. Pokemon continues to be the largest grossing franchise in the world, with over $1 billion in sales in the past year with no signs of stopping its record pace. In a recent Reddit post, user Jelko69 posted screenshots of an encounter with the mythical Pokemon Mesprit. Jelko was walking with a friend by a Gym where they noticed the legendary Pokemon. “How rare is this spawn?” Jelko asked in the post, with other users mentioning that it’s so rare, most people will never encounter one in the wild. Luckily, the Reddit user caught Mesprit before the Pokemon could flee, showing off their catch in the slideshow of images posted to the site. Most legendary and mythical Pokemon in Pokemon GO can be caught in Raids, but seeing one just roaming in the wild is an extraordinarily rare encounter.

Pokemon Fan Finds A Once-in-a-Lifetime Encounter with a Mythical Pokemon

Pokemon GO is constantly updating with new Pokemon and features over time, as is its nature as a live service title. Mega Audino, a Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Mega Evolution Pokemon, will debut this weekend and can be caught in raids starting April 5 from 2-5 PM local time. Players can team up with others sporting Poison-type and Steel-type Pokemon to make their battles against the Mega Evolution easier. Players will also be able to participate in timed research during the event for rewards, which include 10,000 Stardust among other incentives.

For April Fools this year, Pokemon GO has unleashed Poke Ball-shaped objects around the world map, but they turn out to either be Voltorb, Electrode, or other Pokemon shaped like Poke Balls when clicked on. The event will only last for the day of April 1, so fans hoping to get in on the joke should try and play today. Last year’s April Fools event turned any throw better than “nice” into an “excellent” one, which gave trainers a higher chance to catch sought-after Pokemon.

Along with the April Fools joke, Pokemon GO is releasing a Power Up ticket for special bonuses and timed research for players who pay $4.99 for the package. The Power Up ticket will be available from April 1 to April 11 and includes extra Candy XL, 3x XP for first catches and PokeStop spins of the day, and the ability to open 50 Gifts per day.
