NLC announces Samsung partnership and LAN Final in Denmark
Leagues Media, the tournament organizer behind the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC), has brought in Samsung as its latest partner. Alongside Mindhsare, the two will welcome Samsung as the official Monitor & Memory Sponsor for the competition.
Additionally, the NLC has announced an offline LAN competition for the upcoming spring split final at the K.B Hallen, Copenhagen, Denmark, on May 31 and June 1. Previously, the league already hosted an offline final in the United Kingdom, selling out the entire venue and further showcasing the interest for the league.
“It speaks volumes that a brand like Samsung sees the value in what the NLC represents. It’s a strong signal that this space matters — and that the NLC has become a platform worth investing in,” said Max Grimborg, Chief Commercial Officer at Leagues Media.
The rise of the NLC
The partnership deal comes after the NLC has brought viewership records in the previous winter split thanks to the presence of content-creator teams such as Los Ratones, led by esports personality Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, and Ruddy Esports, which is backed by Christian “IWDominate” Rivera.
Los Ratones’ latest success in the EMEA Masters puts the NLC as one of the top European Regional Leagues in the tier two ecosystem. With over 360,000 peak viewership, according to Esports Charts, in the NLC Winter final between NORD and Los Ratones, the NLC is set to break more records if Los Ratones and other teams in the league were to perform. And Samsung will be there to take advantage of it.
“NLC has built an incredibly engaged community and continues to push the boundaries of esports in the region. At Samsung, we’re proud to support this evolving space and contribute to the growth of competitive gaming in the Nordics,” said Jakob Hultkvist, Director IT Display Division at Samsung Nordics.
