This is not a drill! There is a new CS2 update, and yes, there are skins. Lots and lots of skins. Titled the “Spring Forward” update, Valve has even added a new CS2 case to the game. Let’s dive into all the details, shall we?
New CS2 Drop Collections Added into Rotation

Some of the most interesting additions in the new CS2 update are the three new weapon collections, named “Ascent,” “Boreal,” and “Radiant.” They seem to be color-themed by blue, green, and red hues respectively, with the skins in all three featuring in weekly drops going forward. I certainly have a few favorites of my own.
Joining them are 17 new additions to the Armory, which can also be found from the new Fever Case. You have Shattered Web CS2 knives in Chroma finishes, the AWP Printstream (!) and many more. That’s not to mention the Train collection in the new CS2 update, with a series of skins paying tribute to the recently-returned classic map. CS2 players have been waiting for an Armory update for a while now, so this update comes as slightly overdue for many. Regardless, it’s here, alongside a new limited edition item named the XM1014 Solitude.

Just like with the previous Armory CS2 update, you’ll need to buy an Armory Pass to get involved in the action and receive these skins as drops.
Small Changes Made to Train and Inferno
According to Valve, both Inferno and Train have received some “spring cleaning,” noting “cleaner surfaces, less clutter, and a slightly wider banana” in the case of Inferno. For Inferno, Valve has specifically “Adjusted Banana to more closely match the size of the CS:GO version,” as well as a few more minor playability changes.
It’s pretty much the same story on Train, with no major overhaul present here. Still, making the newest map in the CS2 Active Duty map pool more playable is only a good thing.
