Disney Lorcana is not a very old TCG, yet it continues to release sets consistently. Each new set builds upon the previous one, introducing new characters, mechanics, and an engaging story that expands Lorcana’s world. Unsurprisingly, there’s a fair bit of lore to remember in Lorcana!
While the slow but steady release of sets keeps the game fresh, keeping track of them all may not always be easy. In this guide, we have compiled all announced Lorcana sets, gift boxes, and other products, along with what to expect from future releases.
Latest Release: Archazia’s Island – March 7, 2025
The seventh Lorcana set, Archazia’s Island, follows the story of the Illumineers discovering a mysterious island after their journey across the Azurite Sea. There, they encounter an ancient Illumineer and spend time on this animal-filled island to strengthen their abilities.
Several new mechanics have been introduced in Archazia’s Island. One of them is Dual-Ink cards, which feature two Ink types. To include these cards in a deck, your deck must contain both Ink types listed on the card. Additionally, a new keyword called Vanish has been revealed. Cards with this keyword are powerful, but they are banished if targeted by an action.
The starter decks for this set are Ruby/Sapphire and Amethyst/Steel. In this set, as in some sets, there is an Illumineer’s Trove box. The Gift Set is Lilo-themed, and after the Stitch-themed Gift Set from Azurite Sea, seeing a Lilo-focused Gift Set is a nice surprise. This set includes the Lilo – Escape Artist promo card.
Reign Of Jafar – May 30, 2025
Reign of Jafar is the eighth set, and as the name suggests, it revolves around Jafar taking over Archazia’s Island. Just like in Ursula’s Return, a great danger awaits you once again.
With the Hexwell Crown in his possession, Jafar is ready to challenge you, wielding his own magical and powerful illusionist abilities. Looking at the Jafar cards in Archazia’s Island, it seems that by combining the two pieces of the Hexwell Crown, Jafar can create a hypnotized army with his newfound powers.
Additionally, this set will likely feature more Dual-Ink cards, first introduced in Archazia’s Island. Since Jafar is a sorcerer, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more Illusion cards with the Vanish keyword, also introduced in the previous set.
The starter decks for this set are Amethyst/Amber and Ruby/Steel. Similar to Ursula’s Return, this set will also include an Illumineer Quest pack, though it will be smaller in scale than the Deep Trouble Illumineer Quest box. Ultimately, this box will offer an engaging challenge for those who enjoy cooperative or solo play.
No Gift Set has been announced for this set yet, and it’s unclear if one will be revealed later. However, the presence of a Hades-themed playmat and the significant focus on Hades cards and his storyline strengthen the possibility that he could be the next major villain.
Fabled – Q3 2025
The ninth set, Fabled, will likely have a celebration theme, much like Shimmering Skies did after Ursula’s defeat—this time following Jafar’s downfall.
Currently, no specific details about this set have been revealed. However, based on its description, the story may explore earlier events, such as the founding of the Great Illuminary, the Curator, and other aspects of the past in greater depth.
Additionally, Fabled’s promotional artwork features Mickey and Minnie riding a carousel. However, unlike their classic depictions, they appear in their vintage designs. Some previous cards have already featured vintage artwork, such as Mickey – Brave Little Tailor and Oswald – The Lucky Rabbit.
If this set continues that trend, it strengthens the theory that Fabled may be themed around Disney’s past. We may also see characters from Disney’s Fables series and classic short films. For example, Brave Little Tailor dates back to 1938, so it’s possible that more vintage characters and versions will appear in this set.
Beyond this, no information about Fabled’s boxes or products has been released yet.
