Team OG announces return of two-time TI Champions Roster

GosuGamers page has taken the opportunity to share OG’s announcement on the return of their 2-time TI Champion roster. Since it’s a tad early for many fans around the globe, many fell for the obvious trick in OG’s expense. Nevertheless, the official Team OG page took the April Fool’s joke well by adding that, “true they (their 2-time TI champions roster) are our Minecraft Parkour team.”

And in true OG fashion, they also set the fans up with a hyped announcement that they have made “a landmark deal with Valve and Paramount Pictures to show True Sight TI8 & TI9 in cinemas worldwide.” The post, however, when clicked, redirects to a Rickroll.

Although OG’s post was of light-hearted fun, OG ‘fans’ took the opportunity to diss OG for their poor performance recently, especially after their Dota 2 roster undergo a major roster change. This probably didn’t sit well with fans after they failed to qualify for DreamLeague S26 Closed Qualifier.

HEROIC’s Update on ESL Raleigh 2025

Meanwhile, popular South American Dota 2 team, HEROIC decided it would be fun to give its fans a scare by announcing that they couldn’t participate at the upcoming ESL Raleigh 2025.

However, the excuse they provided was that “they weren’t able to secure SARATOGA water, the bananas aren’t ripe enough, and waking up at 3 AM is simply not an option.”

They also added other hysterical excuses, such as not being able to afford rent for a penthouse simply from the prize winnings fund from PGL Wallachia S2.

Liquipedia’s most important Esports tournament

Then, there’s Liquipedia, which announced the 2025 Liquipedia Ultimate Logo Series. Liquipedia claims that it’s the most prestigious tournament for all Esports teams to participate, which is partially true as their logos are at stake.

Visitors can visit the 2025 Liquipedia Ultimate Logo Series tournament page to submit their votes on which team logo looks better. The tournament spans from April Fool’s Day until April 6, where there are six rounds of voting to participate.

Winner simply gets bragging rights as the best, most amazing, fantastic logo.

More Dota 2’s April Fool’s Day Jokes

We can expect more Dota 2 teams and pages to participate in the fun banter on April Fool’s Day, especially Team Secret, Nigma Galaxy and even Wykrhm Reddy himself.

Here’s a throwback to when Wykrhm Reddy announced a new Dota 2 Update, featuring a Low Priority Matchmaking, where low-priority players can earn grace points and use them to avoid future low-priority queue. Sounds like a blessing for toxic Dota 2 players to improve their behavior score, until they realized it’s simply an April Fool’s joke.

Additionally, we reported that Riot Games officially acquired Dota 2 from Valve and is rebranding it as League of Ancients. Alright, we definitely tried to pull off another Dota 2 vs LoL debate there! Not the most convincing April Fool’s, but if it did happen, it’s going to be rather tragic.
