There are dozens of easter eggs in Atomfall, from references to classic British sci-fi and post-war pop culture to more contemporary references, like references to Rebellion Developments’ catalogue of games. Most of the Atomfall easter eggs are not immediately apparent – there isn’t exactly a big sign that says “hidden secret here” (well, except for one reference). But if you keep a keen eye out and know your British pop culture history, you will recognize quite a lot of easter eggs in Atomfall.

Mr. Bean Easter Egg
One of the most iconic moments of the original run of British comedy series Mr. Bean is when the titular character is forced to drive his car with a broom while sat on a couch strapped to the top of his yellow Mini Cooper.
This Atomfall reference is a bit out of the way of normal view. You can just barely make out the familiar yellow Mini Cooper with a couch and a broom positioned on top of the cliffs in northwest Slatten Dale above the wrecked Convoy.

The Italian Job Easter Egg
The Italian Job is one of the most stylish movies ever made, and it is filled with quotes and iconic visuals that make it a popular movie to reference. Deep in the northern portion of Casterfell Dam, players can come across red, yellow, and blue Mini Coopers precariously parked on the edge of a broken bit of highway.
Just like the Mr. Bean car reference, you can’t get to this reference up close, but with Photo Mode, you can zoom in on the cars to see skeletons that reference the characters from the movie, too.

- Region: Casterfell Woods (far north side of the main road, west of Casterfell Dam)
- Coordinates: 23.6E, 92.3N
The Wicker Man Easter Egg
Though the Wicker Man have been an iconic part of traditional pagan and Celtic practices since time immemorial, the way the Wickerman on the edge of the Druid Camp looks is surely a direct reference to the 1972 movie The Wicker Man. Aside from the large wooden horns mantled on the side of its head, the Atomfall Wickerman looks almost exactly like the one in the film.
It houses the body of a dead and infected body, which is surely set to be burned in the name of the Voice In The Soil.

Kilroy Was Here Easter Egg
One of the oldest memes in the history of the world is the “Kilroy Was Here” graffiti that was popular among the allied frontlines of World War 2.
Atomfall takes place relatively soon after the end of WW2, and the concrete walls that surround Wyndham Village display some of this historical meme art in various locations, likely because the concrete walls are being repurposed from WW2 surplus.

- Region: Slatten Dale (east of the entrance to Wyndham Village)
- Coordinates: 27.5E, 79.5N
Judge Dredd Easter Egg
Before Atomfall, Sniper Elite, Zombie Army, or any of the modern games that Rebellion Developments is so well known for, the studio worked on the Judge Dredd IP with the 2003 game Judge Dredd: Dredd VS Death. This helmet, which can be found on a shelf deep in a Protocol bunker in Skethermoor, is a direct reference to Rebellion’s history with the franchise.

- Region: Skethermoor (on a shelf in Protocol Workshop)
- Coordinates: 38.0E, 77.4N
The Prisoner Easter Egg
Atomfall is stuffed with references to classic British sci-fi and pulp fiction from the post-war era. One of the most celebrated British television shows from the 1960s is The Prisoner, a psychological show about an imprisoned spy in an idyllic, strange village.
There are two references to The Prisoner in Atomfall: a chessboard that depicts the same game of chess from the ninth episode, titled “Checkmate”, and a note in Skethermoor Prison that reads, “I am not a number.”

Fawlty Towers Easter Egg
In northeast Wyndham Village, just down the road from the Casterfell Woods entrance, you will find the Mereview Hotel. Look closely at the sign for the Mereview Hotel and you will realize that it looks almost exactly like the Fawlty Towers logo, down to the wonky final letter. This reference to the John Cleese-led sitcom isn’t the only reference to Cleese’s absolutely hilarious career, but it is the most obvious.

- Region: Wyndham Village (Mereview Hotel)
- Coordinates: 31.2E, 81.0N
Lord of the Rings Easter Egg
Deep in the lush forests of Casterfell Woods, you may come across an ornate altar-like structure with an axe embedded in it, surrounded by chairs. This is a direct reference to the Council of Elrond scene from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Apparently, in the Atomfall universe, Gimli was successful in splitting The One Ring in half. Perhaps that’s why everything’s gone so pear-shaped in the Quarantine Zone.

- Region: Casterfell Woods (southeast of Cellar & Old Mine)
- Coordinates: 26.7E, 90.8N

Last Of The Summer Wine Easter Egg
In the far east of Skethermoor, you may notice something quite peculiar: three skeletons in a tub, which appears to have crashed into a boulder. Your first thought might be that this is a reference to the classic “rub a dub dub” nursery rhyme, but it’s actually a reference to one of the funniest moments from classic British comedy series Last of the Summer Wine.

The Two Ronnies Easter Egg
Atomfall is a very British game, and there are few shows that exemplify British comedy quite as well as The Two Ronnies. One sketch in the show depicts a man looking for “fork handles”, to whom the shop owner gives “four candles” instead.
This classic bit is referenced on a worktable in the Village Shop in Windham Village – look for both the four candles and fork handles to the left of the entrance to the shop.

- Region: Wyndham Village (Village Shop)
- Coordinates: 33.3E, 79.9N
Monty Python Easter Egg
The most influential British comedy show of all time is surely Monty Python’s Flying Circus, and arguably the most famous sketch that fans and non-fans alike all know by heart is the Dead Parrot sketch.
Look just to the right of Morris in the back right of the shop and you’ll see an obvious reference to this irreverent sketch: a dead parrot – a Norweigan Blue – laying dead as a doornail inside of a rusty cage. Or maybe it’s not dead, just pining for the fjords.

Excalibur Easter Egg
There is one unique melee weapon in Atomfall that also serves as a reference to classic British mythology. Just to the northeast of the Druid Camp in the southwest of Casterfell Woods, look for The Sword In The Stone on the opposite side of a river bank, near a large Triffid enemy.
You’ll have to pull it out of the stone, and because you’re not destined to become the next king of England, the sword will break as you yank it out of the ground. Still, you’ll be left with a fast melee weapon and a nifty experience.

- Region: Casterfell Woods (northeast of the Druid Camp)
- Coordinates: 20.9E, 86.5N
Goldfinger Easter Egg
Atomfall doesn’t just reference classic British sci-fi and comedy – it also references the most famous British spy of all time, James Bond. In Dr. No, the character Oddjob demonstrates his particular set of skills by throwing his hat so hard at a statue’s neck that it severs the statue’s head.
Just outside of Datlow Hall in Casterfell Woods, look for a decapitated statue just beyond the main gates at the front of the manor. Its head rests in the grass just to the right, a sure reference to this iconic James Bond moment.

John Wyndham & The Triffids
There are two references players can find to classic British sci-fi author John Wyndham in Atomfall. The name of Wyndham Village itself is a reference to this well-known sci-fi author, and the carnivorous plant enemies you will encounter in Druid and Infection-ridden areas are direct references to the Triffids from classic British sci-fi novel The Day Of The Triffids.
The living plants in Atomfall look almost exactly like the Triffids from the film adaptation, too, in a sure reference to this classic British sci-fi monster.

- Region: Casterfell Woods, The Interchange, Oberon Dig Site
Doctor Who Easter Egg
Of all the sci-fi shows and stories that the U.K. is so well known for, Doctor Who is probably the most impactful and well-known sci-fi show Britain has ever produced. It’s no wonder, then, that one of the many Atomfall easter eggs references this seminal sci-fi series with the appearance of the T.A.R.D.I.S.
However, you can’t get close to this reference. Instead, look for the familiar blue Police box behind the Skethermoor Prison the first time you enter the Skethermoor zone, atop a small, climbable set of cliffs. Once you begin your ascent to take a closer look, however, you will hear the sound of the T.A.R.D.I.S. teleporting away, and it will disappear for the rest of the game.
