Nvidia’s new GeForce GPU drivers cause problems with inZOI and Khazan, say devs

In what has already been a very rough time for Nvidia‘s graphics card stability, fresh issues have arisen. Now, the developers of inZOI and The First Beserker Khazan have recommended reverting your drivers to older versions due to instability issues that cropped up with the latest driver.

Nvidia might still be dominating the GPU market, but the new RTX 5000 launch has been criticized for a calamity of errors and nightmarish prices for the new GPUs. In our RTX 5090 review, we acknowledge that it is the best graphics card for 4K gaming, and that Nvidia DLSS 4’s multi-frame gen is amazing, but many gamers who got their hands on a card (likely at well-above MSRP), risked running into issues including missing ROPs or black screens caused by driver updates.

Now, the developers behind two hugely popular new releases, inZOI and The First Bezerker Khazan, have recommended using Nvidia GPU driver 566.36 if you own an RTX 4000 card, and driver 572.83 if you own one of Nvidia’s new RTX 5000 series cards.

There is also an issue flagged with RTX 3000 series cards, in which case Nvidia GPU driver 566.36 is also recommended, but this adjustment is only recommended if instability is experienced when using the latest driver, as the issue is much more uncommon.

While ‘instability’ is quite a generic complaint, in this case, it specifically refers to stuttering and frame drops being seen in both games since the latest driver update.
