Monster Hunter Wilds developer Capcom has announced that layered weapons, Arch Tempered Monsters, PC improvements, and new monsters are all headed to the hit action-RPG. However, players could be waiting awhile for all these new features to drop.

To celebrate Monster Hunter Wilds selling 10 million copies, Capcom released a letter from the game’s director, which includes some information about future updates. Amongst those announcements was the reveal that layered weapons, which is the ability to change the appearance of weapons, is coming in the future, although no other details were given. The letter also revealed that Arch Tempered monsters will be added in the future, starting with Arch Tempered Rey Dau on April 30 as part of a limited-time event quest. These fights will offer even more challenging hunts than normal Tempered monsters.

The letter also revealed that Title Update 1, which drops on April 4, will include a reduction in VRAM usage along with other PC changes that should improve performance. That update will also see a nerf of the Corrupted Mantle and buffs to all other mantles, in order to make all mantles a viable option. Capcom also revealed that Monster Hunter Wilds will get a crossover event with another Capcom game at the end of May. These events have included layered armor and event quests in past games.

While Capcom didn’t reveal much about Title Update 2, planned for some time in the summer, it did reveal that the hammer will be getting a buff, with some other weapon balancing, expected to come either in the end of May update or Title Update 2. Title Update 1 adds Mizutsune on April 4 and Capcom has already teased the return of another fan favorite monster coming in future updates.
