Been here 15+ years in the last two decades and when I complain to taxi drivers about the foreigners and they always look at my white-ass face like I’m kidding, but soon realize I’m serious. Then we engage in a discussion on how foreigners certainly bring money here and increase the softpower of Japan, but also have the potential to ruin a lot of things. It’s always a bit funny, but those of us who live here with a local family stuff like this is unforgivable.
It is very well known it’s typically five places (US, China, Korea, Australia, England) where the idiots come from, but it is hard to blame the specific nationalities themselves because statistically they have the largest portion of tourists here.
