Destiny 2: The Best Rolls For All Episode: Heresy Weapons
Here are the best perk combinations you can find for Episode: Heresy’s seasonal weapons.
As befits weapons that come from some of the hardest PvE content that Destiny 2 has to offer, most of these weapons will have either superb stats, outlier perk combos, or both. We’ve selected a few standout rolls for you to aim for as you farm for red border drops. With all the great perk combos to come, you’ll certainly want to grind for guns that appeal to your own tastes.
Updated March 29, 2025, by Charles Burgar: The Vault of Glass has received a major facelift in Episode: Heresy. All Legendary weapons from this raid have new perk combinations, crafting patterns, and an exclusive origin trait that helps push these weapons into the meta. We’ve updated this guide to include up-to-date roll recommendations for all six Vault of Glass Legendary weapons.
Corrective Measure
As far as Void LMGs go, Corrective Measure has the most varied perk pool of the bunch. You can’t beat Commemoration’s combo of Recombination and Killing Tally for add slaying, but you can get fairly close here with Rewind Rounds and Killing Tally. If you have a way of obtaining Volatile Rounds through subclass Fragments or Artifact perks, then this should be more than good enough for most content.
This weapon had its archetype updated to an Aggressive Frame, increasing its fire rate to 600 RPM. This has greatly increased its DPS, although the gun’s recoil is slightly higher than before.
But using Corrective Measure with that roll is doing it a disservice. Destabilizing Rounds with Demoralize is downright absurd, creating a myriad of explosions with each kill that inflict Volatile and Weaken. Need more damage? Go with Redirection and Elemental Honing, the only gun that can roll with a perk combination like this. It’s not quite as good as Hammerhead for PvP, but Corrective Measure will flourish in any PvE situation you throw it in.

Fatebringer
Fatebringer has some incredible perks available in its reissue, yet they don’t offer the same versatility as its iconic combo of Explosive Payload and Firefly. Each shot from this weapon will detonate on impact for a slight damage increase. Land a precision kill, and the target will violently explode, increasing your reload speed for a few seconds. Few rolls compare, even with some of the gun’s new options—Kinetic Tremors, Elemental Honing, and Precision Instrument as examples.
In PvP, you’re looking for consistency perks above all else. You can get Precision Instrument in the second trait column to counter sources of DR, but we recommend Eye of the Storm for general use; its consistency buffs are too good to pass up. Pair it with Opening Shot for a gun that practically aims itself.

Found Verdict
Found Verdict is the only weapon in the VoG reissue that hasn’t aged that well.
Precision Frame Shotguns are the dominant archetype for PvP gameplay
, while Shotguns continue to struggle as backup DPS weapons in PvE. You can try to have some add-clearing fun with Discord and Trench Barrel, but you’re better off using Rocket Sidearms in virtually every loadout. Voltshot looks appealing, but Discord’s auto-loading effect will prevent Voltshot from proccing.
Crucible mains can get Slideshot and Opening Shot for some general consistency, but with the addition of Lone Wolf and Closing Time in recent seasons, this combination isn’t the king of the proverbial castle anymore. It’s still a great perk combination; there are just better options available.

Hezen Vengeance
Hezen Vengeance is the strongest Rocket Launcher in Destiny 2, period. This weapon’s origin trait alone makes it an S-tier option, doubling the cartridge size upon casting your Super. This stacks multiplicatively with other magazine extensions, which means if you run Overflow and Bipod on this gun, you can fire upwards of nine rockets before needing to reload. That borders on Exotic territory.
That roll doesn’t offer much total DPS, so if you’re looking for a good Rocket Launcher for tougher content, you’ll want Envious Arsenal with Bait and Switch for a strong hotswap DPS weapon. PvP players don’t have much reason to use Hezen over a Grenade Launcher or Exotic, so you can run virtually anything on this weapon inside the Crucible and perform just fine. Cluster Bombs and Vorpal Weapon should work well against Guardians.

Praedyth’s Revenge
Praedyth’s Revenge is the highest DPS Sniper Rifle in the game, at least as far as non-Exotic weapons are concerned. The origin trait for this weapon allows you get a 14-round magazine for 20 seconds upon casting your Super, assuming you use Tactical Mag as your magazine perk. That doesn’t sound useful on its own, but this allows you to proc Fourth Time’s the Charm twice as much in a single magazine, greatly extending your optimal DPS window.
You can pair this with Elemental Honing, a whopping 40% damage buff for over 20 seconds if you can deal damage with all five elemental types. This shouldn’t prove too difficult on
a Prismatic build
. Throw on a D.A.R.C.I.
, and you have a Special weapon that can pump as much DPS as meta Heavy weapons. And if you want a good Sniper Rifle for general PvE use, consider Kinetic Tremors over Fourth Time’s the Charm.
Crucible players that don’t mind a 49 zoom scope might enjoy what Praedyth’s offers. Discord is fairly rare to see on Sniper Rifles and is present here, making this a good option for 6v6 playlists. Pair it with Opening Shot for easy headshots.

Vision Of Confluence
Not many weapons can get Incandescent in the first column, much less Primary weapons. Vision of Confluence’s main claim to fame is that strange outlier. In the second column, you’re mostly looking at reliable damage perks—Explosive Payload, Paracasual Affinity, Frenzy, and Kill Clip. It’s not a meta-defining weapon by any stretch, but it’s a good workhorse if you need to pick targets off from a distance.
Crucible players can run Zen Moment with Paracasual Affinity for some easy three taps after a kill. There’s not much else noteworthy here. You could run Heal Clip in the first column to easily proc Ember of Benevolence
, but this behavior isn’t exclusive to Vision of Confluence. It’s a good gun. Not great, not bad. Just good.
