FragPunk sends players into intense 5v5 action, featuring a roster of different game modes, rule-breaking Shard Cards, and a range of different Lancers that players can play as in combat. With intense action and fast-paced gunfights, the competition is fierce, calling for players to bring their A-game into every match.

Gameplay aside, FragPunk also features a large roster of different currencies, which, for beginners, can be pretty overwhelming when diving into the game’s many stores, events, and other features that each currency is tied to. Rest assured, with a bit of time, getting acquainted with each currency and how they work is sure to bag players some unique rewards as they play FragPunk. FragPunk offers a wide range of different weapons. But which ones are currently the best meta options to use?

Gold

Gold is the first currency that players will be acquainted with in FragPunk and serves as the main earnable currency in the game. Gold is primarily used to purchase Lancers for free, each costing 18,888 Gold. It is also used to purchase Relics, which provide unique buffs if equipped during the rule-making phase of Shard Clash and other modes.

The main method of obtaining Gold is simply by playing matches, as players earn Gold upon completing a game. However, there are also a variety of other methods of acquiring it. For those looking to earn Gold quickly, we have broken down the best ways to do so in our dedicated Gold guide.

FragPunk Coins

FragPunk Coins are the second major currency in FragPunk. Like Gold, FragPunk Coins can be used to purchase Lancers, each costing 488 FragPunk Coins—making them the fastest way to acquire Lancers without grinding. FragPunk Coins are also used to purchase premium cosmetics and items in the game’s store, from Lancer and Weapon Skins in the Featured section to Stickers and Supply Packs in the Items section.

As many might suspect, FragPunk Coins act as the game’s premium currency and can be purchased with real money via the Purchase section of the store. Here is a quick breakdown of the different FragPunk Coin bundles that players can buy, along with their prices:

For a limited time, players who purchase FragPunk Coins can receive extra coins for free depending on the amount they purchase. Both Monthly and Annual Membership Owners also receive 1,200 FragPunk Coins per month (80 FragPunk Coins per day for 15 claims), with the Monthly Membership costing $9.90 a month, and the Annual Membership costing $99.90 (equivalent to $8.33 per month).

Glunite Coins

Glunite Coins, like Gold, are another earnable currency in FragPunk. These coins are used to purchase rare items in the game, primarily common Lancer skins, select cosmetics like headwear, and customization options for Lancer banners. Each of these can be purchased by selecting a Lancer and navigating to the Skin or Banner option. Glunite Coins are also used to purchase Common Weapon Skins, which can be found under the Arsenal tab in the Weapons section.

Just like Gold, Glunite Coins are primarily earned by completing matches but can also be obtained through other methods. Firstly, Glunite Coins are awarded by completing Achievements, which players can view by heading to the Challenges tab in the main lobby and navigating to the Achievements section. However, players will not receive Glunite Coins automatically; they must manually claim them upon completing an Achievement.

Glunite Coins can also be awarded passively through the Scavenger Imp instead of Gold. However, players must be part of FragPunk’s Monthly or Annual Membership to unlock this benefit. Another way to earn Glunite Coins is through Challenges and Events, such as the currently active Porcelain Hunting Challenge Event, which rewards players with the currency for completing challenges and ranking up through its free pass.

Weapon & Lancer Skin Keys

These next two currencies are quite similar to each other. First up is Weapon Skin Keys, which allow players to unlock Advanced Cosmetics for select weapon skins. These Advanced Cosmetics essentially act as alternative styles for existing skins, often swapping the default design for different colors. Players can spend their Weapon Skin Keys by heading to the Weapons tab under Arsenal, selecting their desired weapon, hitting Weapon Appearance, and then selecting Advanced Cosmetics for their chosen skin.

Lancer Skin Keys function the same way, except they allow players to unlock Advanced Cosmetics for their Lancers. To spend Lancer Skin Keys, players can head to the Lancers tab under Arsenal, navigate to their desired Lancer, select the Skin option, and then choose Advanced Cosmetics. It’s worth noting that most skins supporting Advanced Cosmetics are of Rare rarity or higher.

The primary method of acquiring Weapon or Lancer Skin Keys is through the Battle Pass and Ranked sections of the Redeem section in FragPunk’s Store, allowing players to purchase either currency with Battle Pass Tokens or Club Supplies. However, players can also trade in Porcelain Shards for both via the Porcelain Exchange (earned by completing challenges for the Porcelain Hunting Event), which can be accessed through the Events tab.

Ultimate Materials

Ultimate Material is a remarkably rare currency tied to select Ultimate Skin Prize Pools in FragPunk. Ultimate Material can be used to purchase rewards within the prize pool, which can also be acquired randomly by opening Curiosity Cans. For Season 1, players can use Ultimate Material to purchase items from the Consolation Prize Pool by heading to the Lucky Prize Pool within the Featured section of the Store. Here, players can view the current Ultimate Skin Prize Pool and select the Redeem option to see what is on offer.

Currently, there are only two ways to acquire Ultimate Material. The first is by being awarded the currency directly when opening Curiosity Cans. Additionally, drawing duplicate rewards from Curiosity Cans will also reward players with Ultimate Material, with the amount depending on the item’s rarity.

Membership Picks

Next up are Membership Picks, another premium currency earned through FragPunk’s Monthly and Annual Memberships. This unique currency grants players access to a variety of exclusive skins, which can be redeemed via the Redeem section of the Store under Membership. Monthly and Annual Membership members receive 10 Membership Picks every 30 days, while Annual Membership owners also immediately gain access to 50 Membership Picks at the start of their membership.

Battle Pass Tokens

Battle Pass Tokens are a currency exclusively tied to the FragPunk Battle Pass but differ from the tokens present in other games. Instead of being used to earn items from the Battle Pass, Battle Pass Tokens are instead spent within the Redeem section of the Store under Battle Pass. Here, players can spend their earned tokens on a selection of different items.

To acquire Battle Pass Tokens, players simply need to level up the current Battle Pass. Once leveled up all the way, each additional level rewards players with 100 Battle Pass Tokens, regardless of whether they have purchased the Battle Pass or not.

Ranked Tokens

Ranked Tokens are relatively similar to Glunite Coins and Gold in the sense that they can be earned by completing matches. However, as the name suggests, Ranked Tokens are rewarded exclusively by playing FragPunk’s Ranked Playlist. Ranked Tokens can be used within the Redeem section of the Store to purchase exclusive Ranked Weapon Skins, allowing players to show off their status in every match they play.

Club Supplies

Club Supplies are a unique currency that may fly under the radar of most players in FragPunk, as earning them takes a bit of preparation beforehand. To earn Club Supplies, players will either need to be a member of a Club or create their own Club via the Club tab within the main menu. Once done, players will gain access to Club Daily and Weekly Challenges, each rewarding Club Supplies upon completion.

Club Supplies are used to purchase a range of different items within the Redeem section of the Store under Club. These items include Decoration Packs, Curiosity Pop Cans, Weapon Skin Keys, and more.
