Where To Find Every Comic Book In Atomfall

The ten hidden comic books are easily Atomfall‘s hardest-to-find collectible. Not only are they scattered throughout every major area of the Quarantine Zone, but many of them are in out-of-the-way, dangerous places. Risking your character’s life to escape is one thing, but to get a comic book that’s been sitting in a cloud of mysterious spores for years is another.

Atomfall: Garden Gnome Location Guide

There are ten Garden Gnomes hidden around Wyndham Village in Atomfall.

If you want to earn every Achievement or Trophy in Atomfall, though, you’ll need to find those comics. We’ve gathered the locations of all ten, so you can collect them as you make your way through the game.

Jet-Ace Logan: Evil In Orbit

the first comic book in atomfall, on a rusted barrel.

The first comic book in the game is in the very same bunker that you start in. When you enter the overgrown area that leads to the outside, enter the room on the right. The comic is on a barrel at the back of the room, behind the shelves.

If you’re quiet, you can sneak past the Outlaw while he’s trying to break down the locked door opposite, but even though he doesn’t have any loot himself it’s a good idea to take him out so that you can ransack that room yourself.

John Steel, Special Agent: World War 2

West of the quarry in Slatten Dale is a small group of buildings with water wheels. Enter the eastmost one at 28.0E, 75.0N and go to the second floor; you’ll find the comic book on a drawing board there.

Lion Annual, 1962

The convoy that recently attempted to enter the Quarantine Zone apparently brought some recent comics with them, as the area was locked down in 1957, five years prior to the game’s events. Go to the ambush site in the northwest corner of Slatten Dale, and look for a cave behind the waterfall there.

Inside the cave, you’ll find several supplies, as well as the comic book. The coordinates are 22.9E, 78.3N.

Captain Condor: Mystery On The Moon 248

a comic book on the floor of a bathroom stall in the grendel's head pub in atomfall.

When you arrive in Wyndham Village, go to Grendel’s Head Pub at 34.2E, 79.3N. On the second floor, you can find this comic book in one of the restroom stalls.

Jet-Ace Logan: Ten Days To Doom

While you’re investigating the mystery of Iris Baxter’s bakery in Wyndham Village, you’ll need to visit the local garage. While you’re there, pick up the comic book on the bench out front. Its exact coordinates are 35.6E, 79.3N.

Rick Random In Sabotage From Space

a comic book on a table overlooking the dining room of datlow hall in atomfall.

Datlow Hall is just outside of Wyndham Village’s Casterfell Woods exit, at 26.2E, 85.4N. Enter through the front gate and make your way clockwise to the side door through the garden, being wary of the tripwires throughout the grounds.

Inside, enter the dining room and climb the ladder at the far end. Follow the path to the right, and you’ll find the comic book forgotten on a table at the end of the landing.

There’s a lot to explore in Atomfall. Have you seen it all?

Captain Condor: Mystery On The Moon 260

In the Village Outskirts part of Casterfell Woods, again just outside the Wyndham gate, go to the house at 27.6E, 85.5N. Inside, this comic book can be found of the floor of the childrens’ bedroom.

John Steel: One False Step

a john steel comic book on a workbench in nora thorndike's basement in atomfall.

This is the only comic book in Skethermoor. It’s in the basement of Nora’s barn, at 41.2E, 78.3N. Look on the bench immediately next to the basement door; if you enter from the upstairs door, where Nora herself is, all you need to do is go downstairs rather than making your way through her trap-filled yard.

Jet-Ace Logan: Planet Of Fear

This comic can only be retrieved once you’ve powered up Data Store Alpha in the Interchange. You should have a Strange Tonic, Doctor Holder’s Experimental Inoculation, or both before attempting to retrieve it. You’ll also need enough ammunition to deal with at least two Ferals, possibly more.

Go to the lower section of the Interchange; if you don’t want to go through the spore-filled area beneath Alpha even after powering up that Data Store, you can go via Data Store Charlie as an alternate route. Facing the main entrance to the Medical Wing, look for a door to the right.

Unlock it and go inside; you’ll know you’re in the right place if it’s filled with spores and you hear Ferals growling. Drink a Strange Tonic if you have one, then make your way into the room immediately to the left.

Get to the back corner as quickly as you can, then turn around and shoot any Ferals that are chasing you. Once they’re defeated, you can safely pick up the comic book on the chair next to you.

Rick Random And The Planet Of Terror

The final comic is on the way to the Oberon Dig Site after you’ve opened the path from Central Processing in the Interchange. Between the Ferals, Thralls, mutated plants, and spores, it can be easy to forget about picking it up on your way to finish the game.

In the middle section of the WIndscale Plant is a multi-story building on the right. Make your way to it and go to the top floor. It’s infested with Ferals and Thralls, so be ready to fight or flee as needed.

The easiest way is to get to the Oberon exit by any means necessary, then backtrack along the path guarded by the hammer plant; this will take you to a walkway and a door that brings you straight to where you need to be.

Look for a spore-infested area past the rusted pipes, with a single light bulb still working. The light leads to a gap that you can squeeze through, though doing so will cause you to spend more time in the spores; instead, when you reach the gap, turn left and go through the purple grass to take the long way around.

On the other side of the gap, look in the dead-end past the BARD Crate for the final comic book.
