How To Get Runes
In Rune Slayer, Runes are obtained by defeating enemies, much like most other items in the game. You don’t have to take down powerful bosses to get them, even low-level creatures, such as the green Slimes near Wayshire, or goblins can drop Runes. However, if you’re looking for a more efficient farming method, consider battling NPCs around Lakeshire, as they tend to drop Runes more frequently.
Farming enemies while completing quests is the most effective way to gather Runes, allowing you to progress while stocking up on valuable upgrades. That said, if you’re after rare Runes, you can also check the trade board, where players sell high-tier items. Keep in mind that rare Runes often come with a steep price, so it’s best to save this option for the late game when you have enough resources to invest.
How To Socket Runes
Runes are just ordinary stones that take up space in your inventory, but when socketed into gear, they can significantly enhance your strength. However, you won’t be able to do this yourself, you’ll need the help of a Blacksmith to socket Runes into your equipment.
In Wayshire, you can find the Blacksmith’s shop directly across from the Inn. It’s easy to spot thanks to the anvil sign hanging above the entrance.
