The Most Valuable Vivid Voltage Cards In The Pokemon TCG

The Pokemon TCG continues to see high interest in its most valuable Sword & Shield sets, with Vivid Voltage offering a fantastic claim to fame in the form of its Pikachu VMAX Secret Rare. While the most expensive Vivid Voltage cards include more variety than just Pikachu, most cards follow the leader, given they are also Rainbow Rares (Secret).

From fabulous Galarian Trainers to some fierce and fun Pikachu arts, these Vivid Voltage cards feature a healthy balance of subjects. However, if you’re not a fan of the uniform Rainbow Rare design, which gives the same rainbow pattern to each card, there are still great options for you.

A Surprising Galarian Goofball

Galarian Darmanitan is another Pokemon that rarely receives much attention but finds some love via this beautiful Rainbow Secret Rare.

While it doesn’t normally have such a polychromatic palette, a rare Galarian Darmanitan appearance is worth every penny.

Galarian Pokemon also suffer from having direct competition via their other forms, but Galarian Darmanitan’s design stands tall. Whether you’re a fan of this Pokemon or just beautiful card art, this card offers solid aesthetic value for a decent price.

Pikachu VMAX (Ultra Rare) – $6.61

It Could Use A Rainbow

The Pikachu VMAX Ultra Rare might bear the same artwork as the best chase card in Vivid Voltage, but it’s missing the Secret Rare version’s signature rainbow color palette, which elevates the price to the triple digits. Despite falling short of its twin, this Pikachu card made an impressive run to join the list of top Vivid Voltage cards.

While this card previously hovered around and below the two-dollar mark in 2024, it catapulted up to its current market price thanks to the Pokemon card market surge, which began in 2024 and followed through 2025.

Coalossal VMAX (Secret) – $6.65

Shining Brighter Than Your Average Coal

Vivid Voltage excels at giving every Pokemon that needs a stunning card design hope, given how many glow-ups it issued among the Galarian Pokemon. The rainbow pattern replaces Coalossal’s typically bleak color scheme, though it’s a strange combination.

Visually, this card doesn’t offer anything better than some of the prior entries, but it edges them in value by just a few pennies. Within the TCG, Coalossal isn’t a standout star, but at least it gets to enjoy this moment, basking in the rainbow glow.

Leon (Full Art) – $7.18

The Champ Rises

Leon is renowned as the unbeatable Pokemon champion, and while this title is applicable in the show, Leon’s presence in the Pokemon TCG market has some catching up to do. Luckily, Leon, much like the Pikachu VMAX Ultra Rare, experienced a massive price jump, indicating this trainer is making a run up the charts.

This Leon full art, like Pikachu, also hovered around the two-dollar mark before its value took a sharp upward turn, surpassing the five-dollar plateau in a flash, as this card rode the wave from 2024 into 2025’s bull Pokemon market.

Bea (Secret Rare) – $7.22

Seeing Double

While Bea isn’t nearly as popular or powerful as Leon in the Pokemon anime, this character takes a stranglehold on the best chase cards in Vivid Voltage with two stellar entries.

Rainbow Secret Rares and regular full art trainer cards don’t typically command such a similar value, but Bea’s appearances in Vivid Voltage boast remarkably close prices. However, it’s worth noting that this Rainbow Secret Rare is a latecomer to the party, as it didn’t make the top spots for Vivid Voltage until the Pokemon market shift in 2024 onward.

A Rise After The Fall

Bea’s karate-kick pose once earned her a top spot, as this Galarian Fighting-type specialist once held the distinction of being the most valuable trainer in Vivid Voltage.

However, the market is always changing, so her reign didn’t last as long as Bea might have liked.

While Bea once commanded one of the highest values in Vivid Voltage, this trainer has had an incredibly tumultuous journey to remain among the best Vivid Voltage chase cards. Bea fell from her high of around eight dollars and hovered around six dollars before rebounding to her current price.

Aegislash VMAX (Secret) – $8.00

The First On The Rainbow Train

Aegislash’s sharp design in this Secret Rare meshes well with the rainbow color palette, giving this Steel-type a glimmering look.

It’s impressive how cheaply most of the best cards in Vivid Voltage can be had.

Aegislash isn’t a Pokemon that commands hype like Pikachu, Charizard, or Eevee, but this solid Rainbow Secret Rare finally gives this Sword and Shield Pokemon a moment in the spotlight. It’s unlikely Aegislash will ever top a set as the most valuable, but it earns its place among Vivid Voltage’s most valuable cards.

Togekiss VMAX (Secret) – $9.38

A Fitting Rainbow Design

Unlike Coalossal, Togekiss is a Pokemon that seems like it was designed with Rainbow Secret Rares in mind, as the Pokemon’s primarily white palette is adorned with multicolored wing tips.

The rainbow shimmer’s appropriate inclusion makes this already gorgeous Togekiss design feel even more special.

While it’s not the most expensive Secret Rare in Vivid Voltage, the Togekiss VMAX makes a decent run at the champion. Considering the stiff competition still to come, this card makes an impressive run towards the top.

Nessa (Secret) – $9.90

A Perfect Rainbow Rare

Nessa’s appearance on this list is even more stunning than Bea’s full-art, but this time her artwork is accentuated by the rainbow color palette that is a staple of Vivid Voltage’s most valuable cards.

While we lose out on the details in the background and the contrasting shine of her jewelry, this version of Nessa is all about the flashy spectrum of colors that shine on her. Nessa sits nestled comfortably among the top five most valuable cards in Vivid Voltage.

Taking The Lead

Nessa mirrors Bea and her two cards, as Nessa’s full art version takes the crown away from her Rainbow Secret Rare.

Previously, Nessa’s Secret Rare card was the only one of the two to appear among the most valuable Vivid Voltage chase cards, but time has been incredibly kind to this full art card.

As Trainer cards begin to receive more attention in the Pokemon TCG, some of the best ones in Vivid Voltage are likely to continue to rise in value. Expect the full-art versions to increase first, as the rainbow palettes often follow the path set forth by these cards.

Aside from Pikachu’s incredible recognizability, this card stands out from the others in this set, as the bright combination of red, yellow, and pinkish background works together to form an eye-catching color palette. Pikachu V came ready for a fight, and this card’s art goes toe to toe with Vivid Voltage’s best.
