Pokemon TCG Pocket has a vast amount of cards, and with more coming up, the amount of decks you can build is also varied. Some of these decks can focus on one or multiple types, on a specific Pokemon, or dedicated to more elaborate strategies involving multiple creatures.

The Lightning Type has good representatives, such as Pikachu, Zapdos, and Pachirisu; these are fast and powerful creatures that can develop quickly during the first few turns, and if you know where to look, you might find the most powerful decklists in this type.
Deck #1 – Pikachu/Zapdos ex
The first deck is a classic that comes from the Genetic Apex era. The idea is to stand your ground with Zebstrika while you build Pikachu ex on the bench, then you start hitting hard to your opponent’s active Pokemon. Once you build Pikachu up, don’t stop there and keep building a second Pikachu or a Zapdos ex on the bench, in case things go south.
While this deck remains mostly untouched, you can still add some welcome trainer cards from the Space-Time Smackdown set, like Giant Cape, Cyrus, and Dawn, or Blue from Mythical Island. Being a fast and strong deck, this easily stands at the top of the best Lightning-type decks.

Deck #2 – Magnezone/Skarmory
The idea behind this deck is to start your match with Skarmory and attach any Pokemon Tool to it; this will increase its attack damage to 50, which can significantly hurt the slower ex Pokemon in the meta, and even the faster ones, at least until you build your Magneton on the bench.
Why Magneton? Because through its Pokemon Power, Magneton can quickly add an extra Energy per turn. Once you’re ready, it’s just a matter of evolving it to Magnezone and start punishing your rival’s active Pokemon.
