Totodile receives an impressive makeover thanks to one creative fan artist, reimagining the Water-type Pokemon as a musical bard.
Reddit user samheck shared their latest creation, which is a Jolteon made primarily out of wood with additional materials added to give it an extra bit of flare. A video uploaded by the artist demonstrates some of the process they went through. The Jolteon was made out of three blocks of wood, with olive wood making up the majority of its body, while maple wood made up the ruff of the Pokemon. The detail work required to get the shape of Jolteon right is quite impressive to watch. Jolteon got some special touches, too, with ebony being used for its eyes, nose, and the dark parts of its inner ears, while thin slivers of abalone were added to the Electric-type Pokemon‘s spikes to give it a shimmering and shiny appearance. A final close-up on the Jolteon shows just how detailed every facet of it is despite it being small enough to fit in the artist’s hand.

Another fan wondered how long it took, to which the artist said that it took “too long” and that they estimated spending somewhere between 30-40 hours on the Electric-type wood carved Pokemon. However, the important thing is that the artist enjoys what they do.
