Krafton’s InZOI is a hyperrealistic life sim that lets you experience modern life digitally. You can create true-to-life Zois, build and customize their homes, set up families, move to different cities, take on jobs, and do just about anything within the game’s scope.
To give players more control, there’s an in-game mechanic that allows you to change the day’s length, making time move faster or slower to suit your playstyle and plans. So, if you’re wondering how to speed up or slow down time in InZOI, this guide will show you how.

How to Change Day Length in InZOI
Thankfully, the game gives you plenty of options to adjust the length of an InZOI day. And getting the right settings is much simpler (and easier) than other tasks, especially character creation, so this won’t be a problem.
To change the day length in InZOI, you need to open the Simulation section in settings and pick your desired option under the Length of Day area. As the game is still in early access, you’ll only find four time slots to choose from. This may change after the full release; however, the available ones for now are:
- 48 minutes
- 90 minutes
- 4 hour
- 24 hour
With that said, 90 minutes is the default length of a regular day in InZOI, and it’s sufficient to comfortably go about daily life while maintaining your Zois’ needs, urges, and skill stats. However, if you want your characters to grow faster, the 48-minute option may be ideal. Speeding up time also helps with other tasks, such as completing a workday quicker, earning your salary sooner, and having more resources to shop and build your home as needed. On the other hand, if you want to explore the entire map and try out different activities without your Zois aging by a day or two, the 24-hour option is the way to go.
How to Make Your Zois Live Longer in InZOI
All Zois in the game follow a unique life cycle, meaning they age and eventually pass away based on the assigned in-game days. For example, a Young Adult remains in that life stage for 21–30 in-game days before becoming an Adult. Likewise, a Middle-Aged Zoi stays in that stage for 51–65 days before transitioning to a Senior, who then lives for 66–100 days before passing away. If you want your Zois to stay in a life stage longer and fully enjoy doing tasks with them (or simply stop them from aging too quickly), you can extend the day length to 4 or 24 real-time hours.
Just a quick heads-up, though: changing the day’s length will only slow down how fast the day passes in the game; it won’t increase your Zois’ overall lifespan.
