Gaining entry into the kofun itself is pretty straightforward, but reaching the legendary chest at the end can become challenging. This is because players will have to rearrange large crates to create pathways with Yasuke, which can get frustrating when figuring out the exact path a crate can move. Players will encounter the Takagi Kofun in the Harima region, which can be completed by Yasuke in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Megalithic Vault Kofun Location in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Players can find the Megalithic Vault Kofun in the Koriyama area of the Yamato region in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It’s located in the northern part of Koriyama, east of Yawata Plains.

Players can easily reach the kofun by following the location on the map above. To enter the Megalithic Vault kofun, players first have to switch their character to Yasuke. Now, you’ll be able to move the crate blocking the kofun’s entrance and enter it.

Megalithic Vault Kofun Solution

Megalithic Vault Kofun is quite dark and challenging to traverse. Here are step-by-step instructions on how players can reach the legendary chest at the end of the kofun.

  1. Descend the stairs to the kofun and move the craft out of the way. This will open up a pathway to the left. Blow up the explosive jar and enter the kofun.
  2. Behind the newly opened path, there’s a gaping pit that you’ll need to jump into and land in the pond below.
  3. Exit the pond, follow the pathway ahead, and use the crawlspace to reach the other side.
  4. The path ahead is blocked by a crate, so you’ll need to go around using the path to the left and enter the room using the crawlspace.
  5. Push aside the wide crate blocking the entrance, drag the smaller crate out of the room, and place it near the higher ledge.
  6. Use the crate to reach the higher section and keep following the pathway until Yasuke leaps over a broken bridge.
  7. After following the path, you’ll reach a room with a large tomb in the middle. Climb the tomb and go inside the small opening on the right.
  8. Once you reach the other side, drag the box that’s hugging the tomb backward.
  9. Now, vault over the crate again and head back into the room. You’ll spot a smaller crate next to the entrance that you can drag through the space between the tomb and the room you just came out of.
  10. Move the crate to the ledge and use it to reach the higher platform above. Here, you’ll need to climb the ledge on the wall and use it to shimmy over to the other side.
  11. Climb up to the opening in the cave and keep moving forward while jumping over the wooden beams on the right.
  12. In the next room, players will need to use the crawlspace to reach a passageway with an opening in the wall. Shoot the explosive jar from the opening and backtrack to the main room.
  13. Drag the crate from the opening in the wall and follow the path until you reach the legendary chest in the Megalithic Vault kofun.

AC Shadows Rewards for Completing Megalithic Vault Kofun

Players will receive the Elegant Samurai Outfit, a legendary armor for Yasuke, for completing the Megalithic Vault kofun in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The armor comes with a unique perk that increases posture damage per adrenaline chunk filled. This can also be engraved on other pieces of legendary armor for Yasuke. Once you’re collecting the loot, drag the crate to the left to exit the kofun.
