The First Berserker: Khazan might feel familiar if you’ve played other Soulslikes, but it has its own twists when it comes to managing your inventory. While most entries in the genre allow you to sell off unwanted items for the primary leveling currency, this game gives you a bit more flexibility. Depending on your needs, you can choose to sell, extract, or dismantle your gear, each offering a different resource in return.
As you progress through the missions, you’ll unlock different NPCs that allow you to break down your gear in specific ways. Whether you’re looking for Gold to buy consumables, Lacrima to level up, or crafting materials to upgrade your weapons, here’s how item selling works in The First Berserker: Khazan.

How to Sell Items in The First Berserker: Khazan
To sell items, you need to talk to Duimuk, a Bantu Merchant who becomes available at The Crevice after defeating Viper in the Forgotten Temple mission. Once unlocked, you can interact with him to sell your unwanted gear for Gold. Duimuk also stocks useful items such as Vitality Spheres, Transmutation Shards, and a handful of weapons.
Selling is useful if you’re short on Gold and need to pick up some important consumables or support items from merchant NPCs across the map.
Lacrima is the main currency you use to upgrade stats in The First Berserker: Khazan. If you’ve got a bunch of unwanted items and wish to convert them into some quick Lacrima to gain an extra level, you’ll want to go with this option. All you need to do is talk to Oksana in The Crevice. She is the NPC standing near the Storage Chest when you reach The Crevice for the first time after beating the Blade Phantom.
Oksana later moves downstairs once you unlock the Blacksmith NPC.
The amount of Lacrima you receive depends on the rarity and level of the item. To extract, simply talk to Oksana and choose the Extract Lacrima option. Then select all the items you want to break down.
How to Dismantle Items in The First Berserker: Khazan
Dismantling gear is the final option that becomes available a bit later in the campaign. You need to rescue the Blacksmith, Qazumaka, during the Strange Stench mission. Once you defeat Aratra and head back to The Crevice, you’ll have to talk to Qazumaka to unlock a bonus mission titled Blacksmith’s Heirloom.
After retrieving the lost hammer, talk to Qazumaka back at the main hub to access the crafting options in the game. You’ll also gain access to the dismantling feature at that point.
Dismantling lets you break down weapons and armor pieces for valuable crafting materials such as Battered Shards, Treated Blades, etc. Dismantling is the most reliable way to gather crafting resources for powerful armor and weapons.
How to Bulk Sell Items in The First Berserker: Khazan
You can sell/extract/dismantle your items in bulk by pressing T on the PC or Y/Triangle on controllers. This will bring up a sub-menu where you can select the rarity of items you want to sell. You can also choose to include or exclude Set Items in this menu. Once you’re happy with your choice, select Sell/Extract/Dismantle All to get rid of the items in one fell swoop.
There’s a Storage Chest in The Crevice that you can use to store items that you want to use later on.
If you want to keep specific items in your inventory, make sure to select the item and lock it by pressing R on the PC or X/Square on the controller. This is an easy way to keep your inventory organized in The First Berserker: Khazan.
While all of these options have their use in The First Berserker: Khazan, dismantling your gear is usually the best route in the long run. As you progress through the missions, you’ll face tougher enemies, and upgrading your armor and weapons is the only way to keep up with them.
Selling is best reserved for quick cash if you’re low on Gold and need to buy something immediately. It’s not the most efficient use of gear, but it has its place early on when funds are tight.
Extracting, while useful for acquiring Lacrima, should be used sparingly. Only extract items when you’re in urgent need of stat upgrades and have no better source of Lacrima at the time.
