How to Unlock Artian Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds
You need to be in High Rank to learn about Artian Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds. The world itself will become High Rank once you’ve beaten the story. This means that monsters will be stronger and Mining Outcrops will net you stronger materials. Some new creatures will be roaming the wilds as well, and it’s up to you to find them.
Visit the Iceshard Cliff area and look for new monsters marked ??? on your map. Here you’ll spot the new monkey enemy called the Blangonga. This icy foe commands a pack of other primates to help it in a fight. After you discover the Blangonga, return to camp. You should receive an Assignment from Alma called “What We Protect.” Take this assignment and hunt the Blangonga. Once you defeat it, you’ll receive Artian Alpha Armor Series designs as a reward.
How to Forge Artian Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds
Forging a full set of Artian Armor can be a lengthy process. You’ll need to continue raising your Hunter Rank and hunting down the source of the Frenzy virus. A few of the materials you’ll need to craft the armor are rare. Frenzy Crystals are a reward for fighting the source of the Frenzy virus, the fearsome Gore Magala. Frenzy Shards can only be obtained by fighting Frenzied monsters. Make sure to attack their wounds for a chance to get more shards.
Gracium is a rare ore that can only be found in the Iceshard Cliffs. Head to Area 8 and farm the three mining outcrops that are a short distance from the base camp. Eat a Gatherer meal to get double the ore and speed up your farming.
