Fortnite's One Piece Collab Is Reportedly In The Works, Will Have Two Waves

Summary

  • For as long as Fortnite has had anime crossovers, One Piece has been one of the most requested.
  • It seems it might finally be happening, as reliable dataminers have found evidence that it’s being worked on.
  • That being said, it seems like it’s still a ways off as the leaker claims there’s currently “no set date”.

A reliable Fortnite dataminer has found evidence that the long-awaited One Piece collaboration is finally in the works and will seemingly release in two waves.

Ever since the first Dragon Ball collab all the way back in 2022, Fortnite has had a pretty tight relationship with anime and manga. Over the past few years, we’ve seen the arrival of My Hero Academia, Naruto, Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, and more, with several crossovers rumoured to be in the works for this year.

Although it may feel like Fortnite has become packed to the gills with anime crossovers over the past few years, there are still a few notable omissions that have yet to join The Island. Bleach, Demon Slayer, and Death Note instantly jump to mind, without a doubt the biggest anime that’s yet to join Fortnite is also the biggest anime of them all – One Piece.

Fortnite’s One Piece Collab Is Seemingly In The Works

Get Your Gun-Gun Attacks Ready

For almost as long as Fortnite has had anime crossovers, One Piece has been one of the most requested collabs of them all, and one that’s consistently popped up in player surveys over the years. Insiders have suggested for a while now that it’d eventually come to pass, and it seems that long-awaited day is almost here.

Over on Twitter, reliable Fortnite insider HYPEX shared a report from Twitter users and dataminers NotPaloleaks and Wensoing, who have seemingly found evidence in the game’s files that suggests One Piece is being worked on. NotPalo shared some more information on their discovery, which claims that the collab will have two waves.

It’s not clear if we’ll get pre or post timeskip versions of the One Piece characters, but it seems likely they’ll have edit styles to represent both.

That being said, it seems like the collaboration isn’t quite finished just yet, as NotPalo claims that it’s been delayed and has “no set date” as of right now. The characters that are said to be featured in the collab include Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Usopp, and Sanji, but that could change further down the line.
