The Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 developers release a new update for the game, addressing problematic issues and making some adjustments.
The pre-order bonus has now been treated to a standalone launch, materializing on Friday, March 28. Anyone who purchased Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 post-release is thus now able to get their hands on The Lion’s Crest as well. The DLC pack is priced at $4.99, and can be picked up on the PlayStation Store, Xbox/Microsoft Store, and Steam.
The Lion’s Crest Isn’t Part of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Expansion Pass
While it’s technically the game’s first paid DLC mission, The Lion’s Crest isn’t part of the RPG’s expansion pass. The $29.99 add-on promises to include much lengthier questlines, starting with the Brushes With Death DLC, which will reach Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 in Q2 2025. Warhorse previously said that Brushes With Death will revolve around a “mysterious artist,” whom Henry will be working with in some form. The next Expansion Pass storyline is called Legacy of the Forge, which will offer players a chance to restore Kuttenberg’s forge and practice Henry’s blacksmithing technique over the course of another lengthy quest and beyond. Legacy of the Forge is presently targeting a Q3 2025 release.
The third and final Expansion Pass DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is Mysteria Ecclesiae, which will see Henry attempt to stop the spread of a deadly illness in the Sedletz Monastery north of Kuttenberg. While the base game doesn’t do much with this location, there’s a side quest called The Reliquary that briefly takes players to the Sedletz Monastery. Mysteria Ecclesiae is planned to launch in Q4 2025. Its release will presumably conclude the game’s post-launch content support period.
How To Start The Lion’s Crest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
As for the newly released DLC mission, starting The Lion’s Crest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be a bit tricky because the game doesn’t draw much attention to it. The only hint at its location is a DLC quest marker in Troskowitz, which appears on the map as soon as the linear introductory segment of the game is over. The mission itself is a treasure hunt filled with riddles, the reward for which is a powerful armor set that used to belong to Knight Brunswick, an old Czech legend who supposedly befriended a lion on his adventures.
