As you explore the park in Squirreled Away, you’ll meet many new friends that need your help. From fighting off a dog in the forest to restoring fountains in the gardens, you’ll have plenty to keep you busy. With a bit of help, you can befriend everyone in the park while building your dream tree house.
When you’re in the forest, you’ll find ruins littered with toxic mushrooms and adorable hedgehogs. However, everything is not as it seems. We’ll help you restore King Needlenose’s kingdom to its full glory and explore further into the lush park.
Where To Find King Needlenose
In the Forest Nook, head towards the ruins to find an adorable colony of hedgehogs. While they roam around, your target is the large one standing stalwart over the rest.
Be careful when getting near the hedgehogs, as you’ll take damage if you touch them.
Speak with him to learn that he is the majestic King Needlenose, leader of the hedgehogs. He rules over the ruins as his kingdom, but lately there have been issues cropping up–specifically fungal ones.
There are toxic mushrooms scattered throughout the ruins, and they threaten his beloved people. You, as the peasant squirrel, are tasked with removing all five of the mushrooms.
Where To Find Toxic Mushrooms
To find all five toxic mushrooms, you’ll need to search high and low in the ruins. You can find them in the following places:
- In the tower by the picnic basket. Use the bouncy mushroom by the picnic basket to hop into the ruined tower and collect a purple mushroom.
- In the small islet tower. Over by the home tree in the ruins, you’ll find another broken tower. Climb the scaffolding around it and drop down into the center to grab a toxic mushroom.
- Under the floorboards. Also on the small islet by the ruin’s home tree, you’ll find this toxic mushroom under the wooden floorboards between the tower and the mainland. Follow the bouncy mushrooms!
- Behind the arch. On the arch, just past the spiderwebs, hop across the scaffolding to grab the next toxic mushroom.
- High above the river. At the far end of the ruins, by the river dividing the forest from the fountains area, you’ll find the final mushroom atop the tallest part of the ruins.
Once you’ve gathered all the mushrooms, return to King Needlenose to report the good news! As a reward, he promises to cut your taxes this year.
In other words, you get nothing.
